Tell us about your life before the venture/leading up to your venture?

I have had a pretty interesting career journey. I have worked in roles such as Commercial Lending, Commercial Banking, Employee Experience, Commercial Insurance, Software Development, Business Analytics, Program Management, Project Management, DEI, and Leadership. However, it was the toxicity of poor leadership that led me to want to be the solution for organizations that want to provide a growth-centered and equity-focused work environment that is committed to delivering a great customer experience. I saw too many leaders not treating employees equally, lacking growth opportunities, showing no innovation, and failing to support everyone, including customers. One day, God told me to create a solution so leaders and employees no longer feel the need to compromise who they are for a career ladder. I interviewed hundreds of people who were looking for the solutions I was going to create. The rest is history.

Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

At RGLC, our mission is to create thriving work environments where every employee has an equal opportunity to grow and succeed. We’ve helped numerous businesses unlock their potential, leading to improved performance, increased profitability, employee career growth, and enhanced employee satisfaction.

What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?

Consumers are positively responding to our events and showing up in numbers. Based on our surveys from customers, we are excelling at our ability to relate to them, speak to them on their level, and provide an excellent customer experience. As a result, companies have written about me and all the great things we are doing at Rodgers Global Leadership Consortium.

We have been recognized with several awards, including the 40 Under 40 Award, Leadership Award, and Mentor Award, just to name a few. I have been featured on various media outlets like Power To Fly, Blacks In Technology, Mentor Me Collective, Java with Jen, Canvas Rebel, Bold Journey, Innovation Women, Medium, and more.

How has your life changed because of your venture?

I have had the opportunity to work with businesses I never imagined because of my venture. I have stood on stages around the globe because of the grace of God in my life that allows me to operate my venture in excellence. I am now more bold about boundaries and no longer conforming to others’ expectations. I consider myself a limitless individual now. I am entering big rooms and leading conversations with trailblazers who are innovating new technologies, making social impacts, and investing in the future. Had I not started my company, I don’t think it would have been possible to have this freedom to make the impact I always wanted.

What are you working on right now?

Right now, we have some major tech innovations coming out. I can’t say much about that now, but I will be disclosing more very soon. I am very excited about this. We are also working on a leadership accelerator program that will be released soon.
