What happens when a painful personal chapter becomes the foundation for a purpose-driven business? For Angeline Mitchell, the answer is not simply resilience—it is building an ecosystem around voice, visibility, coaching and women empowerment.
Through Humans of Fuzia’s Honest Entrepreneur Growth Series, founders and coaches share the realities behind entrepreneurship—not polished success stories, but the decisions, setbacks and systems shaping growth. HOF sits at the intersection of leadership, entrepreneurship, coaching, women empowerment and socially conscious business, offering practical insight for coaches and small-business entrepreneurs navigating scale.
From Pain to Purpose: Leadership Through Storytelling
Mitchell created Let’s Break the Silence to help women reclaim their voices and share real, unfiltered stories of overcoming domestic violence. What began as a podcast eventually evolved into coaching, masterminds and speaking opportunities.
Her journey illustrates a powerful leadership principle: personal experience can become a platform for meaningful social impact when it is transformed into service.
Now in its seventh season and beyond 200 episodes, her podcast has achieved a ranking of number 11 in the U.S. domestic-violence podcast category, according to Mitchell.
“I pride myself on being real and authentic,” she says, describing honesty and integrity as foundational to her definition of entrepreneurship.
Scaling a Coaching Business Requires More Than Visibility
Mitchell’s growth journey also reveals the complexity facing entrepreneurs in 2026. Scaling requires the right people, clearer systems, strategic visibility and consistent execution.
After experiencing a major setback with an initial business coach, Mitchell rebuilt strategically. A new coach helped develop her coaching program and website into an ecosystem connecting her podcast, speaking engagements and speaker reel. A marketing team subsequently helped expand her presence on international stages, including events in London, Dubai and Santorini.
The lesson for small-business leadership is clear: growth becomes sustainable when visibility is supported by systems.
For coaches and entrepreneurs, that can mean defining an Ideal Client Profile (ICP), strengthening messaging, developing a sales funnel, delegating specialist work and deliberately pursuing speaking opportunities that build authority.
Honest Entrepreneurship in the Age of AI
Mitchell does not reject AI. Instead, she believes technology should support—not replace—authentic leadership.
“AI has its place because it can help you create content,” she explains, while emphasizing that integrity and authenticity must remain at the centre of the business.
Her next chapter includes a mastermind for high-achieving women, a planned retreat in Greece, a magazine collaboration and continued speaking and podcast work.
Execution Tip
Choose one growth initiative and move it from planning to execution today. Identify the audience, define the offer, assign the next three actions and set a deadline. As Mitchell puts it: “I’ve just decided to go all in.”
