What sparked your journey as a coach/entrepreneur? Was there a moment, challenge, or person that pushed you to take this path?
Stepping out of a previous role in ministry, becoming an empty-nester, moving to a different home, and entering a new season of life—one in which my husband would soon be retiring. But because of my varied past of different careers and some time home to raise kids, I wanted to do something new, creative, engaging, and purposeful. I see my next 30+ years of life as an adventure to step into. In addition to this “season of life” playing a part, we all have stories behind what we do. I have several situations and life events that fuel my passion to help others.
Tell us a bit about what you do! What’s the purpose behind your business, and how does it make a difference in people’s lives?
I help couples stop fighting about money and start crushing their goals so they can build a secure financial future, together.
Thinking back to the start of your career, what were some of the biggest challenges you faced in establishing yourself as a coach/entrepreneur? How did you work through them?
Getting yourself out there—exposure is necessary. You want to appear professional, but at the same time, it’s very important to be genuine, even vulnerable.
Is there a milestone or achievement you’re really proud of that you’d like to share?
Helping hundreds of clients break the chains of financial stress and experience freedom in their lives, moving forward with confidence toward their financial future. I recently collaborated on a financial literacy book for teens. I’m excited about this being published. Also, I am launching a new, comprehensive group program that has the potential to help exponentially more people who need the guidance.
Women are making big moves in workplaces around the world, leading alongside their male counterparts. What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?
The world needs them! We need both! We’re ALL on this planet for a reason—and that’s not just in the home.
What advice would you give to future women leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs?
Have the courage to “fail.” I’ve always heard it said that “success is standing on a pile of failures.”
