Can you share your backstory and what inspired you to become a coach?

I didn’t have confidence growing up. I had a strict upbringing and often tried to please my parents, which meant I wasn’t doing what felt right for me. Over time, I realized the thoughts I had about myself couldn’t define my life forever.

In my twenties, I began exploring self-understanding and trained as a therapeutic counsellor. That experience changed everything — I discovered my passion for supporting people. I’ve since studied the human mind extensively and worked in the UK’s National Health Service as a therapist, specializing in areas like domestic violence, safeguarding, and substance recovery.

About 16 years ago, I left the security of employment to start my own business. My mission is to help people understand how their minds work so they can create the life they want.

Tell us about your coaching model and how your programs support people.

I’ve created different ways for people to access support depending on their needs. I’ve written self-help books that include strategies, models, and exercises people can apply themselves. I also offer online programs where I explain these concepts in more detail through videos.

Additionally, I host a podcast discussing topics like comparison, fear, and self-belief. I work with individuals one-on-one and also facilitate group programs where participants support each other over a six-month journey.

My goal is to help people help themselves by understanding how their minds process experiences and emotions.

How has your journey been as a founder and entrepreneur?

Starting your own business has both rewards and challenges. Leaving the security of employment requires courage and careful planning. When I began, I reduced my working hours first to build my business gradually.

Running a business means handling many responsibilities on your own, so having a strong support network is essential. I believe in creating a “board of directors” around you — people with different skills who can support your growth. Knowing where to seek help and where to take ownership is key.

What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?

Keep going. Challenges are inevitable, but they should be seen as speed bumps rather than stop signs. If we worry too much, the worry itself becomes the problem.

It’s also important to speak to people who have faced similar struggles. Sharing experiences helps you realize you’re not alone and provides valuable perspective.

What are your thoughts on women’s empowerment and leadership today?

Women still need to work hard at speaking up and asking for what they need. There are often deep-rooted beliefs that prevent women from stepping forward confidently.

It’s also essential for women to support and celebrate each other’s achievements. Lifting each other up creates a positive environment where everyone grows together.

How do you view emotional intelligence in leadership?

Women often bring strong empathy and awareness into leadership. We tend to notice emotional cues and understand situations deeply, which strengthens emotional intelligence.

However, leadership is most effective when there is a balance of perspectives. Both men and women contribute different strengths, and together they create stronger teams.

How can people connect with you?

People can connect with me through LinkedIn, my website, or social media platforms like Instagram. I also share free podcast episodes that explore personal growth and mindset topics.

“Understand how your mind works — because when you truly understand yourself, you can create the life you want.”
