Allison Orlovsky is a relationship coach. Her primary mission is to coach and teach young individuals and couples what it means and takes to create a healthy, strong, meaningful relationship/marriage that is full of partnership, passion and play. As a woman who experienced divorce TWICE by the age of 35 and a mom to 3 children, she wants to proactively teach and coach others prior to marriage all that she wishes she had known as she stepped into her own marriages. She says that ‘We should no longer struggle or suffer in our marriages simply due to lack of knowledge or support.’
Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?
I am a single mom raising three children. After my second divorce, I knew that I did not want to repeat my mistakes and made a commitment to myself to learn all I could about creating a healthy and strong relationship, which included doing a lot of personal development work.
Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?
My company teaches individuals and couples how to create a healthy and strong relationship according to their own wants, needs and desires so that it’s happy and fulfilling. We teach them how to be intentional with their relationship/marriage and how to create a strong partnership that will last (which includes understanding that their own self-worth is paramount to the success of that relationship). It’s a proactive approach to teaching people a topic that very few of us are ever actually taught so that we can live happier, more meaningful lives while in a marriage/relationship.
What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?
The response has been incredibly positive, particularly because I’m doing something very few people are doing – proactively teaching people how to create a great relationship. We are formally taught to do so many things in this world, but creating healthy, happy marriages is rarely one of them. I believe that people are much more excited and willing to learn how to do something from the ground up, rather than trying to fix something that is deeply broken, which then often also carries shame and embarrassment. So, from that perspective, we are trailblazers.
How has your life changed because of your venture?
It has created a new level of freedom and purpose in my life. It’s allowed me to be more present to my partner and children, and our relationships are more intimate, silly, and relaxed. Joy and peace are my “new normal”, rather than stress and exhaustion. I feel fulfilled and know that I’m making a difference in people’s lives, that hopefully will have an impact for generations to come.
Give a motivational message for the audience/women who are reading this.
You are an incredibly powerful woman and the only thing getting in your way of actually having all that you desire is you. Yes, there might be circumstances and challenges to creating the life that you truly desire, but ultimately, you actually do have all the control and power over your own life to make it exactly as you dream it to be. And…get support. Don’t do it alone. You might have to explore, but find your tribe that knows your potential and is there to lift you up to it!
