Q: What inspired you to step into entrepreneurship and start Wellfinity?
Ash Sunassee: I got tired of corporate red tape. I was surrounded by leaders who weren’t qualified to lead, and their narrow, “in-the-box” thinking frustrated me. I wanted to create solutions that added real value. That’s how Wellfinity started—as a corporate wellness brand helping companies improve employee well-being. Over time, we pivoted to data monetization and AI-driven sales and marketing, especially after COVID pushed us to rethink face-to-face operations. Today, our work spans from wellness to innovative digital growth strategies for brands.
Q: How has your business evolved since those early days?
Ash Sunassee: Initially, it was all about wellness programs for employees, but the pandemic changed everything. We transitioned into creating data and monetization strategies—helping brands, musicians, and athletes convert attention into revenue. We also built a creative vertical with video production, ads, films, and documentaries, which brings audiences in at the top of the funnel, and then our data and AI insights help businesses grow.
Q: Who is your target audience today?
Ash Sunassee: Any business looking to scale and reach a defined audience. We’ve worked with Hollywood actors, global musicians, professional athletes, and luxury brands, providing them with tools to manage and monetize their audiences directly.
Q: Are you still a solopreneur, or do you have a team behind you?
Ash Sunassee: I started as a solopreneur, but now we have a global team across multiple time zones, along with several freelancers. I believe in the saying: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with a team.” Finding the right people has been key to our growth.
Q: How do you personally define success?
Ash Sunassee: Success is about delivering outcomes that exceed expectations and contributing to something bigger than money. If we can help a brand solve meaningful problems with values and purpose, and be part of that journey, that’s true success to me.
Q: What exciting projects are you working on right now?
Ash Sunassee: We have several exciting projects in motion. We’re:
- Collaborating on Formula One car campaigns with global brands
- Running a football roadshow to teach young athletes about personal branding and data ownership
- Helping musicians monetize their audiences beyond streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music
Q: What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs?
Ash Sunassee: “Don’t be afraid to fail.” Ask for help, know who to ask, and take action when you get the right advice. Too many people keep asking but never execute—success comes from action, not just ideas.
Q: What’s your short-term goal for the next year?
Ash Sunassee: To grow the team further and bring on talented people who can help us expand and take on more ambitious projects.
Closing Message from Ash:
“Entrepreneurship is about courage—fail, learn, and take action. Every step forward builds the bigger story.”
