From Personal Challenges to Leadership Coaching
Holt’s entrepreneurial journey emerged after years of navigating difficult personal and professional experiences. After nearly 18 years in education and counseling, she left a toxic workplace while also facing a major health challenge. She did not have a business plan waiting.
“I didn’t know what it was, but I knew it was out there,” she recalls.
That search led her to professional coaching. In 2024, she launched Golden Hour Life Coaching, eventually transitioning full-time into entrepreneurship in January 2026.
Today, Holt uses empathy, strengths-based coaching and powerful questions to help clients confront the difficult conversations they may otherwise avoid.
Her philosophy is captured in what she calls the “bison approach”: rather than running from a storm, run through it.
Scaling A Coaching Business With Clarity
Holt’s experience also highlights the realities of small-business leadership in 2026: finding consistent clients, improving messaging, strengthening Google visibility, understanding indexing and building reliable business systems.
Her ideal clients—professionals in their 30s to 50s who feel stuck, unheard or unsure of their next move—illustrate the importance of defining an Ideal Client Profile (ICP). “I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, because I’m champagne,” Holt says.
That clarity can transform marketing. Instead of trying to serve everyone, coaches can build stronger sales funnels, sharper messaging and more relevant authority-building content around the people they are best positioned to serve.
Growth Systems That Create Sustainable Impact
One of Holt’s smartest business investments was building a CRM that connected her website, Typeform and other tools. The lesson is straightforward: scalable entrepreneurship requires systems that reduce manual work.
Her next chapter includes publishing a memoir, expanding Golden Hour Life Coaching with other coaches and eventually reaching more clients without everything depending on her personally.
That is the evolution from practitioner to scalable leader: moving from doing everything yourself to building systems, delegation and leadership capacity around your mission.
