Today, as the Founder and CEO of NOWFUL, Angélica is focused on helping people reconnect with themselves, find inner balance, and live with clarity and strength. What were your initial years of growing up like?
I was born into a family involved in the energy, real estate, and agricultural sectors, but privilege never protected me from discrimination. I started working very young and quickly became aware of how differently women were treated. Even then, I understood that gender often determined opportunity—and that realization stayed with me.
I grew up in a traditional environment where expectations for women were limited. While there is nothing wrong with choosing family life, I wanted more. I wanted to lead, build, and create something meaningful. That desire shaped every step of my journey.
Could you briefly introduce yourself and the work you do today?
I am a businesswoman, impact investor, advocate for gender equality, entrepreneur, and a mother. My life has been a long journey of self-discovery—learning to heal, to remove the masks I once used for survival, and to stand firmly in my truth.
I am the Founder and CEO of NOWFUL, my latest venture. NOWFUL is a scientifically designed wellness system created to help people feel centered, energized, and confident—supporting transformation from the inside out.
Could you elaborate on the nature and purpose of NOWFUL?
NOWFUL is a transformational wellness system designed to guide people back to themselves. It supports emotional clarity, stress reduction, clean and sustainable energy, cognitive performance, and restorative sleep—making wellness realistic and deeply personal.
The system includes three core wellness essentials and Smart Affirmation Cards powered by NFC technology and enhanced by AI. These cards connect the physical and digital worlds, turning intention into a daily interactive practice. Unlike many wellness brands that offer isolated products, NOWFUL is a complete system designed to support mind, body, and spirit from morning to night.
We believe wellness is not a luxury—it is your superpower. When people reconnect with themselves, everything in their outer world begins to change.
What inspired you to start this journey?
My journey began when I realized that true transformation does not come from achievement or external validation—it comes from within.
There were moments in my life that shattered me completely, including losing my career, assets, and nearly my role as a mother. Rebuilding myself emotionally and mentally became a necessity, not a choice. What helped me rise again were small, consistent inner habits that kept me grounded and emotionally clear. Those practices eventually became NOWFUL.
Looking back, what were the major challenges in your career, and how did you overcome them?
One of my biggest challenges was proving myself in male-dominated environments that did not expect women to lead. I constantly had to validate my abilities.
I overcame this by believing in myself even when others didn’t, by staying disciplined, and by letting my results speak louder than expectations. Inner strength and emotional grounding were just as important as professional skills.
Would you like to share a remarkable achievement?
One of my most meaningful achievements was transforming Omnilife–Angelíssima–Chivas from a company in financial crisis into an enterprise valued at over $1.5 billion. This required difficult decisions, restructuring, and long-term vision—but it proved that real transformation always begins from within an organization.
What are your thoughts on women’s leadership today?
Women’s leadership is not about comparison—it’s about inclusion. When women rise, they create space for others. The future of leadership is collaborative, values-driven, and human. Women are shaping that future by leading with purpose and integrity.
How do you view the role of AI and technology in your work?
At NOWFUL, AI enhances self-connection rather than replacing human connection. Our Smart Affirmation Cards use AI to guide reflection, emotional awareness, and personal growth. Technology becomes a bridge back to yourself.
What message would you like to share with our readers?
Believe in yourself. Self-belief is not a feeling—it is a daily choice. Inner transformation creates outer transformation. It is never too late to begin again. I rebuilt my life at 52 and launched a new business at 62. You can start today.
