If your business could have a mascot, what would it be and why?

A microphone at a podium, indicating someone will be addressing an audience.

What strategies do you employ to maintain a healthy work-life balance while running your own business?

I try to stick to the rules I make for myself as far as not working on holidays and making sure I have ample time with my son. This means having to ask clients to change timing to make it work for both of us.

When faced with unexpected detours on your business path, how do you pivot with grace and resilience, showing fellow women entrepreneurs the way forward?

Never forget to ask what you can learn from any situation, and then move forward keeping that lesson in mind so you are prepared if it happens again.

How do you measure the success of your business beyond financial metrics, such as customer satisfaction or community engagement?

Repeat business is a good gauge, as well as referrals. When people find me through others, or a company or person wants to work with me again, that lets me know I’m doing something right.

Can you share a memorable moment where you witnessed significant growth or transformation in your business, illustrating the impact of your services/products?

When a company asked me to come in for more than just one engagement, but rather to work with their team in an ongoing relationship.

What role do you believe mentorship plays in the success of small businesses, and how have mentors influenced your own entrepreneurial journey?

They are so crucial! I hope everyone who is starting up has someone who is knowledgeable that can guide them through the ins and outs, ups and downs. I’m so grateful for mine!

What’s your work all about, and how does it make a difference in the world?

I help people communicate. To me, if you have all of the knowledge in the world but can’t share it in an impactful way, what’s the point? It makes me happy knowing I can give people the skills they need to share their knowledge in a connected way.
