Cassandra Hill is a Master Life Coach, Speaker, and Best-Selling Author. Her passion is empowering Black women to live life on their terms by up-leveling their emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being.
Could you elaborate on the nature of your business, highlighting its purpose and the ways it benefits people?
After overcoming systemic lupus with a natural regimen that she developed, Cassandra has been on a mission to empower women—especially Black women—toward their healing. Women who have worked with Cassandra have improved their health (losing weight, getting off medications, etc.) and achieved business success (securing Fortune 500 clients, increased revenue).
The most significant benefit of working with Cassandra is women falling in love with themselves in a new way, increasing their confidence and knowing their worth.
What inspired you to start your journey as a coach and entrepreneur? Were there any specific events, challenges, or people that motivated you to take this path?
For several years I went misdiagnosed before learning that I had systemic lupus. Many times my voice went unheard in healthcare settings as well as the workplace. Unfortunately, this is common for women, especially women of color, which encouraged me to develop solutions to these challenges.
Looking back at the beginning of your career, what were the major challenges you faced when establishing yourself as a leader/coach? How did you overcome those obstacles?
At the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey, the biggest hurdles were time management and lack of capital.
Having a hard stop time for the workday was necessary. It’s so important to take care of yourself as an entrepreneur. Your business success is dependent on your health and well-being. Applying for grants and seeking collaborations, sponsorships, etc., proved beneficial to business growth.
Would you like to share any remarkable achievement?
It’s always an honor to be recognized for doing what I love. Recently I was awarded Black Woman Owned Brand of the Year in Atlanta, GA at the Impact Awards.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
Women have made incredible strides in recent years. While there is more work to do in regard to pay equity and leadership opportunities, we are advancing. At this time, it’s important for us to partner together to ensure we receive what we deserve.
What message/advice would you have for future women leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs?
Be patient with yourself and never give up on your dream.
