Empowering Relationships and Helping People Make the Right Decisions for Themselves

Known as The REAL Relationships Expert, I work with female executives and business owners to help them create strong, healthy and robust relationships by breaking-through the bondage of their past to remove the masks of fear and shame that keep them hidden, shackled, and often playing small. My clients live a life of unconditional love, abundance, and happiness by creating strong, healthy and robust relationships. My over-riding mission is to reduce the prevalence of domestic abuse globally.

I come from a place of knowing, through bravely overcoming personal experiences.

My toolkit of professional qualifications, 25+ years ethnographical research into domestic abuse and the sex industry, combined with  psychology and drama training, underpin my expert knowledge to transform lives.

Tell us about your life before the venture/ leading up to your venture?

Two abusive relationships, business failure, bankruptcy, losing residency of my son, and a failed suicide attempt led me enter the sex industry and a third abusive relationship.

Unexpectedly, and somewhat surprisingly, the sex industry saved my life and became the springboard to what I now do.

I started asking questions. Why do people behave the way they do in relationships? I don’t believe anyone enters a relationship with the intention of hurting the other person.

That led me to study for a psychology degree with the Open University and to qualify in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Hypnotherapy and Timeline Therapy (TM).

Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

My coaching programme, Behind the Mask, and my group membership, UnMasked, help midlife successful women to create a strong, healthy and robust relationship with themselves first and foremost.

Most clients approach me because they have problems in their relationship – maybe they’ve stopped communicating, their sex life has disappeared, they feel that they’re living separate lives, and so many other issues that are creating distressing symptoms in their relationship.

Within Behind the Mask we explore what’s going on for the individual over a period of 12 weeks, using 1-2-1 coaching and a programme of training and exercises. We’ll address such questions as: Why do they keep making the same mistakes in relationships? Why are they having the same arguments over and over again with their partner? Why can’t they seem to find someone they want to spend their life with? Why do they keep running away from commitment? Why do they become co-dependent? Why do they lose their own identity within the relationship? And so many other questions that are raised.

We look at what’s going on for them internally, at a deep subconscious level and their behaviour.  We also address any external factors, what I like to call the ‘sexy little extras’ that may be negatively impacting their existing relationship or their ability to find or stay in a relationship.  Equally, we look at enabling them to create a strong, healthy and robust relationship with themselves.

The UnMasked Membership addresses similar questions and themes with weekly trainings on subjects such as relationships, money & finance, health & wellness, and career or business – all the sexy little extras that make us feel great about ourselves but if they’re not working in congruence with our relationship, they can create negativity and friction within the relationship.

What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?

My clients have nothing but praise for my venture.  I empower them to make the right decisions for themselves, and don’t tell them what to do.  I can guide and advise them in both a coaching and mentoring capacity, but I can’t tell them what they should do.  Whilst they find the 12-week programme difficult due to its intensity, they all recognise the results they achieve at the end of it.  Some clients have been able to reignite the love and passion in their relationships with unconditional love, others have recognised that it’s time to leave their relationship, others have started new relationships with a new found self-confidence and others have chosen to stay single but happy.  There is no one-size fits all. The perfect relationship is the one that’s perfect for you.

What’s a leadership lesson that you’ve learnt that’s unique to being a female leader?

The moment we take control of our own story, we take back our power.  That power drives us to achieve great things.
