Beth is an Executive Coach who helps you boost your authentic confidence, strengthen your constructive mindset and increase your powerful presence. She has a deep understanding of human behaviour, motivation and limiting beliefs that she uses to help you unlock barriers and move forward with clear action.

Through her personal experience and client work, she knows the positive impact a constructive mindset has. She is an ICF ACC accredited Executive Coach, ICF UK Board Member, has a master’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health, is a Resilience Coach, Mindfulness trained and an MBTI practitioner. Using all of this she brings evidence-based tools to her coaching to help you flourish.

What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your professional journey/venture/initiative and what inspired you to choose this career.

I grew up in a warm, loving family. My parents both have big careers in medicine but always prioritised family. They’re both a big inspiration to me on how to balance all aspects of life as well as knowing your values and keeping these at the core of everything you do. My dad is a trained psychiatrist and ethicist, so discussions around ethics, psychology and people were always had around the dinner table. My mum’s a doctor so helping people is at the heart of what both my parents do which is why I’ve always been interested in helping those with a focus on mindset and psychology.

Was there any turning point in your life that changed your journey? If so, what was it? Please tell us the backstory behind it.

2017 was a huge turning point in my life. I had just come out of a long term relationship, was miserable in my current job and finally facing my PTSD. By facing this head on, doing the hard mental work and discovering coaching, I knew where I wanted to take my life and career. I then handed in my notice, started my coaching diploma and my own Executive Coaching business. I’ve never looked back!

Tell us about your goals, interests, and role models.

My goal is to keep doing the work I love in the way I love. Coaching is so powerful and it’s incredible to see how it can impact peoples’ lives. My role models will always be my parents. They show me the importance of values, integrity and family. I’m excited to see where my business grows as there are a few things I’ve got in the pipeline!

Everyone has their own set of challenges when starting an entrepreneurial journey. Still, the most essential part for others to learn is how you deal with those. Would you like to share with us your challenges and your coping mechanisms?

One challenge of starting your own business is that you’re now all functions: marketing, finance, CEO, operations, HR as well as your actual business, which for me is coaching. Wearing so many hats can sometimes seem a little overwhelming. Know your areas of expertise and also what your time is worth. For me, I use technology to help my business flow even better as well as hiring some background support in the areas that are not my forte, nor need to be! Know yourself, stay true to your values and how you want to show up and your business will grow as it needs.

What impact do you feel you have been able to create with your work so far and how would you want to grow in the next few years?

It’s always inspiring to see my clients take off: from promotions to reworking their mindsets, to career changes to full life changes, nothing is better than seeing people take charge of their lives and flourish. I want to keep working with committed individuals and companies to help them flourish, grow and create the life they want.

While the global pandemic of COVID-19 is associated primarily with adversities, it has also brought about a true boom in startups, with successful entrepreneurship in many countries. The pandemic has impacted all of us in one way or another. Would you like to share your experience on a personal and professional level?

At the start of COVID, I was in my flat, alone, finishing off my masters in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health as well as thinking about how I could pivot my business which had been 80% face to face before the pandemic. I utilised the technology out there and changed my business model so that I now work fully remotely. This opened up global working and it’s amazing to work with people across the world. This created further opportunities and I have now run several workshops with teams dialing in from across the US and Europe, bringing them together as well as doing some further work to support people psychologically coming out of the pandemic.

Your journey and your vision are very inspiring, but are there any achievements or accomplishments you would like to mention?

I’ve loved the past 7 years of having my own business. I’ve enjoyed the variety of work I’ve done that I wouldn’t necessarily have predicted when I started such as creating psychological wellbeing videos to support an aging population to running training days for teams to build collective resilience to seeing my coaching clients flourish. Balancing this with gaining my Masters as well as my Resilience Coaching Diploma and becoming a UK Board Member for the International Coaching Federation has given me variety. I’m passionate about what I do.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?

Keep supporting each other and try to speak truth to power when you can. Be kind to yourself and notice all the things you are doing.

What’s the most important thing you have learned in your personal life and professional journey? What is your personal motto in life?

Trust the process (and enjoy the process).

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women’s leadership today?

Women have always been great leaders, even if we didn’t have the titles beforehand. Keep true to your values and the power you hold as a woman.

With your grit and determination, you are making a considerable impact, breaking through, and serving as role models for many budding entrepreneurs. What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?

Be true to yourself, small consistent steps create big changes and trust the process.
