Ayesha Omayr is an award-winning digital entrepreneur advocating women’s economic empowerment. She has devised and successfully implemented a comprehensive business strategy, becoming an inspiration for women by investing in more than 30 startups within 24 months. Displaying resilience, she has endured challenges with courage and consistency. Ayesha is the Managing Directress of WePelicans, a Board Member of ValuePie (an integrated financial group), and the co-founder of WeTree.Co, the world’s first Green Eco-Cloud Investing Platform. She is also the co-founder of ROVO Nomadic, a youth empowerment startup nurtured by WePelicans. Additionally, she plans to launch Elegance FemTech, a digital platform dedicated to promoting economic empowerment among women.
Ayesha believes there is immense potential for women to venture into FinTech and create their own inspiring stories, just as she did.
What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
I was helping my husband.
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business/initiative? What motivated you within to say, “YES, go for it!”?
I started my career formally after my husband suffered a serious heart condition. I supported him intellectually and then took over lean management as a Board Member. Soon, I transformed the business culture into a smarter and more agile environment, intelligently digitized with cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
I wish for every young girl and woman to be an innovative entrepreneur.
Women are a growing force in workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women in leadership today?
Women can prove to be great business leaders if they believe in themselves.
