Q: Could you share your professional journey and what led you to business coaching?
A: I spent about 25 years working in marketing across multiple roles—from working with established brands and startup agencies to running my own marketing consultancy. During that time, I noticed a common challenge among small business owners.
When they were ready to invest in marketing, we often discovered that their business wasn’t prepared to support growth. They lacked systems, resources, clarity in their foundational story, or even the infrastructure to handle increased demand.
While working in marketing, my role was limited to marketing strategies, but I wanted to help fix the broader issues within businesses. That realization led me to transition into business coaching, where I now help entrepreneurs align all aspects of their business so their marketing—and overall growth—can succeed.
It was a natural transition, and today I find great fulfillment in helping business owners move forward with clarity and confidence.
Q: What inspired your passion for supporting entrepreneurs?
A: I love working with people who are deeply passionate about what they do and want to share it with the world. Many entrepreneurs start businesses because they want to help others or create impact, but that passion doesn’t always come with business knowledge.
Often, they work very hard but stay stuck at the same level because they lack direction or clarity. My role is to help them understand their numbers, define goals, create structure, and build a strong foundation so they can grow strategically.
I’ve also worked extensively with women entrepreneurs and underserved communities. I strongly believe they deserve access to the same resources and support as larger companies, and I’m grateful to contribute to that mission.
Q: What did you dream of becoming while growing up?
A: I actually wanted to be an archaeologist because I love history. At one point, I also thought about becoming a lawyer with some classmates, but I later realized that path wasn’t for me.
Today, I’m very happy with the work I do. Marketing became my passion over the years, and it continues to play an important role in my current work as a business strategist.
Q: Who do you currently work with and how do clients find you?
A: Most of my clients come through referrals, mentoring programs, teaching cohorts, speaking engagements, and collaborations. I’m involved with several organizations where entrepreneurs get to know me through mentorship or training programs.
At the moment, I run my business independently, managing both strategy and operations myself, though I plan to expand my team in the future.
Q: What challenges do you face as an entrepreneur?
A: One of the biggest challenges for solopreneurs is working alone. Coming from a corporate environment with colleagues and collaboration, running a business independently can feel isolating.
That’s why it’s important to have mentors, coaches, or peers you can share ideas with and seek guidance from. Coaches also need coaches—it’s essential to have support and accountability.
Another challenge is maintaining self-awareness and accountability when you are your own boss. You must be honest with yourself, identify mistakes, and continuously improve.
Q: What is the most rewarding part of your work?
A: The most rewarding part is seeing the impact on my clients. When they experience clarity or a breakthrough moment—when their confidence grows and they finally feel direction in their business—that transformation is incredibly fulfilling.
Watching entrepreneurs gain confidence and move forward with purpose is the most enjoyable part of what I do.
Q: What are your goals and plans for the coming year?
A: I have clear goals for the year, including launching new programs and exploring new channels. One initiative I’m especially excited about is creating a coaching model for underserved communities.
This program will offer affordable, flexible coaching sessions so entrepreneurs who cannot commit to high-cost or long-term engagements can still access guidance and accountability. My goal is to make strategic support more accessible and help more entrepreneurs grow sustainably.
“Have clarity in your direction, stay accountable to your goals, and build a strong foundation before pursuing growth.”
