What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your entrepreneurial journey.
I come from a hard-working, entrepreneurial family and was exposed to business executives from a young age. My professional journey began in the advertising field and from there I landed my first “dream job” in publishing. During that time I became fascinated by the onset of computers and automation, and jumped into IT and technology, pivoting firmly into the field of technical writing. More recently I managed technical writing teams, which gave me further motivation to explore coaching and author my first book.
What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business/initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it?
It was a combination of a few things, and mostly it was great timing. My children were grown and fully launched, freeing me up to take on more risk. I was more established in my career and had come to completion with my professional role. The timing of those two major events presented me with the right time and resources to pursue this entrepreneurial journey.
Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?
Truly it has everything to do with increasing healthy leaders in every industry. Leadership impacts us all, in nearly every aspect of our lives. I’m inspired and motivated to create space, offer skills, and attract more conscious leaders who can then inspire and motivate a larger wave of conscious, healthy leaders. It’s a ripple effect.
What achievements or accomplishments would you like to mention?
I have most recently achieved the International Coaching Federation ACC certification, and I do have a book launching in January 2025.
What change would you like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
Yes! Absolutely. Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. We need more women in leadership roles! We need to embrace women’s desires for leadership, honor, and grow them into the strong leaders we know they can be.
What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
We need more women in leadership roles! We need to embrace women’s desires for leadership, honor, and grow them into the strong leaders we know they can be.
What would you want to say to our young leaders/audience reading this?
Absolutely pursue your dreams and passions and do not be discouraged with setbacks! We all encounter them (even men do, although maybe not as many as we do 🙂 ) Ask for help. Reach out. Take up space and use your voice. Be relentless about pursuing your excellence and making an impact.
