What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
Before becoming a coach, I was a researcher in Philosophy. I had a few years of teaching experience and as a career advisor within a school in London. My focus in philosophy was comparative philosophy between German idealism (more specifically Schelling) and Indian Buddhism (Hinaiana).
Was there any turning point in your life that changed your journey? If so, what was it? Please tell us the backstory behind it.
I remember being at the hospital in Beijing, China, where I was holding the position of a Philosophy and Theory of Knowledge teacher in an international school… That specific day at the hospital was crucial. I was just starting to be more aware of what was around me after more than a week of big fever. I realized that this couldn’t continue, that I was just avoiding being myself and this is why I got so sick.
Then I “felt” the hand of an old Chinese woman gently caressing my chick (there was nobody I could see though). I felt protected, as if I was rewarded that I heard the message from within. I knew I would recover soon then… which I did!
Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea that made you start this brand? How did such a unique idea strike you, and what motivated you to “YES, go for it?”
I had worked for a very long time in schools either as a teacher, or a career adviser, and earlier on as a supervisor. I really wanted to change people I would work with as I had met very interesting people living abroad, and most of their creativity was not used. I wanted to help them expand and find their path. I also wanted to be there for CEOs who don’t really have anyone to share their vulnerability and questions with. I wanted to be that person who would both be there and maintain a sacred space for them in order to go to their next level.
Tell us something about your initiative or current role. What is it about, and what impact are you trying to make?
I have been in the industry of coaching for over a decade now. I feel very lucky as I could see all over the world the impact of this growing industry. Now different People are contacting me in different contexts:
- Organizations & Entrepreneurs: to implement the coaching culture into their business. The CEOs who contact me are really willing to make a difference by creating a value-based business and not a profit-based business. Of course, their will is to make profit too, but in an aligned and respectful way for their people. Usually what they love about my work is that it goes out of the box, opening to their spiritual world in order to find and nourish their values.
- Coaches: for their certification with ICF and/or develop their business with a supervision protocol.
- People interested in energy work: coaches, therapist, yoga teachers, healers… contact me to train on Soul Coaching®
Everyone has their own set of challenges when starting an entrepreneurial journey. Still, the most essential part for others to learn is how you deal with those. Would you like to share with us your challenges and your coping mechanisms?
I have to say I have been very lucky and protected from the beginning…. Maybe what has helped is staying flexible in all circumstances and listening to my intuition. I never have left a place to doubt.
While the global pandemic of COVID-19 is associated primarily with adversities, it has also brought about a true boom in startups, with successful entrepreneurship in many countries. The pandemic has impacted all of us in one way or another. Would you like to share your experience on a personal and professional level?
I have been working like crazy during the pandemic! People were not able to go outside so they decided to go within! Lol! Which is very good for them!!!
Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
Well the bottom line is that there is no more need for coaching maybe… that would mean that everybody would have awakened their inner leadership and tuned to their wisdom in their way to go through life, to make decisions, to consider one another, to respect the world we are living in.
What’s the most important thing you’ve learned in your personal life and professional journey? What is your personal motto in life?
We have the power to shape the world we want to live in.
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women’s leadership today?
I think this is the future of business! It is not an “against male” formula… It is only that we bring it to another level which is required now. We instinctively know how to connect from the heart, and there is a huge need in the business industry for that.
With your grit and determination, you are making a considerable impact, breaking through, and serving as role models for many budding entrepreneurs. What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
Believe in your dreams, work on being aligned with what you have to offer and how this is serving the world. Continue to do your best as you do… Be kind… always… There is Majesty in Kindness.
