Vlatka Ariaana Hlupic has been voted one of the Most Influential HR Thinkers in the world since 2015 by HR Magazine and Most Influential CEO 2022 by CEO Magazine. She is an activist for humanising businesses and a founder and CEO of Management Shift Solutions Limited, a highly innovative consulting and training company creating conscious companies, as well as a Professor of Leadership and Management at Hult International Business School.

 

Tell us about your life before the venture/leading up to your venture? 

For many years before I started my company, I knew that my purpose was to help humanize the world of business and I created my company as a vehicle to achieve this purpose. For many years, I have been juggling academic career, consulting and coaching work for clients and parent responsibilities. Becoming an entrepreneur was a logical next step for me.

Tell us something about your organization. What is it about and how is it helpful for people?

My organisation is helping to transform the mindset of leaders and organisational culture for companies to help them to become more self-conscious and shift their performance, fulfillment and profit to a higher level, and do well whilst doing good, making this world a better place. This is achieved using my award-winning, evidence based, The Management Shift approach and associated tools.

What has been the response of the consumers towards your venture?

The response has been very positive and as a result of this work, I have obtained numerous international awards and global recognition as one of the world’s leading thinkers in the area of leadership/human resources.

What’s a leadership lesson that you’ve learnt that’s unique to being a female leader?

I have pursued my higher purpose and as a result, success has pursued me. I have always felt that I am working on something much bigger than myself and that has given me incredible energy and drive to pursue this work. My aim is to reach many millions of people globally with my work to help them shift to a higher level and change their lives for better. By helping other people change and improve their lives, my life has changed too. Although I still work very hard, I know that this work is my calling and my success should be measured by the reach and size of ripples I am spreading with my work. This interview will reach millions of people globally and I am grateful for that.

Understand and accept how powerful you are and you can create your own ripples of change with your thoughts, words, intentions and actions. Unleash this power within, choose your words and actions carefully and spread positive ripples to people around you. In time, this will spread and impact your wider community.
