The Visionary Behind Satlantis: An Interview with Aleksandar Svetski

Aleksandar Svetski

Aleksandar Svetski is a writer and entrepreneur, best known as the author of the bestselling books The UnCommunist Manifesto, The Bushido of Bitcoin, and The Bitcoin Times. He is also the founder of Satlantis, the Nomad Super App, aimed at revolutionizing the travel experience.

If your business could have a mascot, what would it be and why?
Nothing comes to mind at all.

What strategies do you employ to maintain a healthy work-life balance while running your own business?
My wife is an incredible cook. We eat a mostly paleo/carnivore/ancestral diet. Everything is home-cooked. I haven’t touched seed oils for nearly 20 years. We both also spend time together at the gym and the beach (Sun, Steel, Sand, Sea Water & Steak).

When faced with unexpected detours on your business path, how do you pivot with grace and resilience, showing fellow women entrepreneurs the way forward?
I’m not interested in showing other entrepreneurs the way forward. My goal is to make the best decision possible for my team. And whether I do that gracefully or not depends on the context and the size of the pivot.

How do you measure the success of your business beyond financial metrics, such as customer satisfaction or community engagement?
Right now, the primary metric is how well it aligns with the vision in my head.

Can you share a memorable moment where you witnessed significant growth or transformation in your business, illustrating the impact of your services/products?
Not right now.

What role do you believe mentorship plays in the success of small businesses, and how have mentors influenced your own entrepreneurial journey?
Mentors are the most underrated growth hack for life. When in doubt, ask yourself, what would “x mentor” say or do in this situation or what would they say about what I have done?

What’s your work all about, and how does it make a difference in the world?
Travel has always been a painful experience. So is connecting with people and discovering places to go and things to do that are relevant to you. Social apps have brought us into the world of personalized content, but they are not built for purpose when it comes to travel and exploring the world. We want to bring these two worlds together and upgrade the travel experience for millions of people around the world.
