If my business could have a mascot, it would be a Phoenix. The phoenix stands for resilience, transformation, and growth—qualities that perfectly reflect my approach to building businesses.

Balancing the intensity of entrepreneurship with a fulfilling personal life is undeniably challenging, but it’s essential for long-term success—both as a founder and as a person. Here are a few strategies I’ve found effective, drawing from my own experiences and those of founders I’ve worked with:

    Focus is everything. Understand what truly matters to your business and your personal life, and allocate time accordingly. Delegate or eliminate tasks that don’t move the needle.
  2. Establish Non-Negotiable Boundaries
    While running a business requires flexibility, certain personal priorities should remain inviolable—whether that’s a daily workout, family dinners, or a regular break from screens.
  3. Incorporate Small Wins Daily
    Building a company is a marathon, not a sprint. Make time for activities that recharge you, even if they’re small, like reading, walking, or catching up with a friend. These moments build resilience.
  4. Leverage Your Support System
    Surround yourself with people who understand your journey and can help you stay grounded—whether it’s co-founders, mentors, or family. Their perspective is invaluable when the road gets tough.
  5. Redefine Balance Over Time
    Balance isn’t static. Some phases will require intense focus on work, while others may allow for more personal time. The key is recalibrating regularly and being intentional about how you spend your time.

When faced with unexpected detours, I lean into the belief that challenges are often opportunities in disguise. As Steve Jobs often said, “You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backward.” This mindset encourages me to embrace uncertainty and trust the process.

Pivoting with grace starts with clarity—identifying the core essence of your vision and ensuring every adjustment aligns with it. Resilience comes from persistence and the willingness to strip away distractions to focus on what truly matters. It’s about finding simplicity in complexity, adapting quickly, and maintaining the confidence to move forward, even when the path isn’t clear.

For fellow women entrepreneurs, I’d say: trust your intuition and don’t be afraid to challenge conventions. Show others that setbacks aren’t failures but lessons that sharpen your approach. When you pivot with purpose and authenticity, you don’t just overcome obstacles—you redefine the possibilities.


How do you measure the success of your business beyond financial metrics, such as customer satisfaction or community engagement?
Success goes way beyond the numbers on a balance sheet. For me, it’s about the deeper impact a business has—the kind that sticks with people and creates lasting value.

First, I look at customer satisfaction—not just through surveys or reviews, but in the real stories customers share. Are we solving their problems? Are we making their lives better? When customers genuinely love what you do and advocate for your business, that’s real success.

Then there’s the team. Are the people I work with growing, feeling inspired, and proud of what we’re building together? A motivated, happy team creates incredible energy that carries into every corner of the business.

I also think about community. Is the business giving back? Are we creating opportunities, fostering connections, or contributing to something bigger than just our bottom line? Whether it’s through partnerships, local impact, or broader social change, those moments matter.

Lastly, success is staying true to the vision—that original spark that got everything started. Are we still aligned with the values and mission we set out to achieve, even as we adapt and grow? If the answer is yes, that’s a win.

For me, success is about building something meaningful that touches lives, inspires others, and leaves a positive footprint in the world. The money is great, but the impact—that’s what truly lasts.

In early 2024, we partnered with a mid-sized ecommerce retailer struggling to compete with larger players due to limited access to comprehensive market data and advanced AI tools. By integrating our AI-driven ecosystem, the retailer gained real-time insights into global ecommerce trends, optimized their inventory management, and personalized customer interactions. Within six months, they reported a 35% increase in sales and a 40% improvement in customer retention rates. This success story not only highlights the effectiveness of our solutions but also reinforces our mission to democratize ecommerce, empowering businesses of all sizes to thrive in a competitive landscape.

While I didn’t have formal mentors in my entrepreneurial journey, that absence taught me valuable lessons about resourcefulness and self-reliance.

Without mentors, I turned to alternative sources of wisdom—reading voraciously, studying the successes and failures of others, and building a network of peers who offered mutual support. Every challenge became an opportunity to learn directly from experience, sharpening my instincts and decision-making.

While I didn’t personally benefit from a mentor’s direct influence, I deeply value the mentorship role I now play for others. I’ve seen firsthand how providing guidance, encouragement, and clarity can make an immense difference for aspiring entrepreneurs. In many ways, my journey without mentorship has fueled my passion for empowering others, helping them navigate challenges with the support I didn’t have.
