Q: Tamara, what inspired your journey from teaching to becoming a confidence coach?
I used to be a teacher in Switzerland, and while I loved working with kids, I felt that something essential was missing in the education system—personal development. I realized that many life skills, such as emotional intelligence, confidence, decision-making, and managing relationships, weren’t being taught. I wanted to fill that gap, so I began learning about personal growth and coaching. My mother also inspired me; she completed her own training in self-awareness, which motivated me to start my journey. Over time, I transitioned into helping adults first, believing that empowering them would ultimately create a ripple effect in the lives of children, too.
Q: Who do you primarily work with, and how do you help them through your coaching?
I work with individuals who feel stuck, lost, or uncertain about how to move forward in their lives. They often want to feel better, build self-trust, and break free from limiting beliefs. My goal is to help them develop inner calm and the tools they need to handle life’s challenges. Usually, within two to three months of coaching, my clients feel lighter, more peaceful, and confident in facing whatever comes their way. It’s not about chasing external goals—it’s about becoming the best version of themselves.
Q: As an entrepreneur and coach, have you ever faced self-doubt or imposter syndrome? How do you handle it?
Yes, absolutely. I believe that being an entrepreneur is one of the greatest personal development journeys. It forces you to face your fears and insecurities head-on. Self-doubt is natural—it means you’re growing. The key is not to let it stop you. I often say, “The doubt can sit in the back seat, but I’m still the one driving.” It’s important to recognize that everyone experiences these feelings. The trick is to acknowledge them and move forward anyway.
Q: Knowing what you know now, what would you have done differently when starting out?
I would have trusted my intuition more. There’s so much advice and information out there, and while learning from others is valuable, it’s essential to filter everything through your own inner voice. Your intuition often knows what’s right for you, even before your mind does. Entrepreneurship should reflect who you truly are—it should feel aligned, not forced.
Q: What challenges have you observed in the coaching industry?
One of the main challenges is that coaching is an unregulated industry, which means anyone can call themselves a coach. While there are many genuine coaches doing meaningful work, some people might see it as less credible or even a scam. But when someone truly experiences the impact of coaching in their own life, they understand its value. It’s a powerful tool for transformation when practiced with integrity and compassion.
Q: How do you personally define success?
For me, success isn’t just about business or achievements—it’s about balance. It’s about feeling good in all areas of life: relationships, health, work, and personal well-being. We often overcomplicate success, but I believe it’s really about peace of mind and contentment. When you feel fulfilled and aligned with your values, that’s true success.
Q: What legacy do you hope to leave behind through your work?
I don’t want my legacy to be about me—I want it to be about how I made people feel. If I can help someone feel better about themselves, they can pass that positivity on to others. My dream is to create a ripple effect of kindness, confidence, and emotional growth that continues far beyond my lifetime.
Q: Is there anything exciting you’re currently working on?
Yes! I’m learning American Sign Language with the goal of being able to coach hard-of-hearing and deaf individuals in the future. My teacher is from India and knows both Indian and American Sign Language, so it’s been an enriching experience. I’m taking it one step at a time, letting life guide me as I continue to grow and help people in new ways.
“As long as we keep learning, trusting ourselves, and helping others feel better, we’re already creating the kind of world we all wish to live in.”
