Stan Lucien is the founder of SKYBRIZ LLC, a platform built from his own lived experiences navigating the complexities of the real estate world. His journey—from being a renter unsure of his rights to a property owner determined to make information accessible—reflects a powerful commitment to helping others avoid the challenges he once faced. Humans of Fuzia is proud to feature Stan for his mission-driven approach to empowering individuals with knowledge, tools, and confidence, inspiring our global community dedicated to He-for-She and She-for-She support.
Q: What inspired you to begin your journey and create SKYBRIZ?
A: My inspiration came from the challenges I experienced firsthand as a renter and first-time property owner. Growing up, real estate wasn’t something we were taught in school—things like tenant rights, what landlords can or can’t do, or what to look for before purchasing a property. After going through difficult situations with my landlord and later realizing how much I didn’t know when buying my first home, I wanted to help others avoid the same mistakes. That desire to make a positive difference led me to create SKYBRIZ and everything that followed—The Housing Chronicles, Skycast, and ultimately our all-in-one app, Skyness.
Q: Are you a solopreneur, or do you have a team supporting you?
A: I started completely on my own—I built the website, coded everything, and shaped the foundation. But no one can grow a company alone. Over time, I brought in my COO, who is also my sister, and then a CMO. From there, our team expanded. Interestingly, we now have more women in leadership roles than men, and they have been instrumental in pushing the company forward.
Q: What milestones are you proud of so far?
A: One of the biggest milestones is simply being out there and making a difference. We don’t have another company that mirrors what we do—combining education, listings, and helpful tools all in one platform. We’ve launched multiple versions of our website, gained strong traction with our educational content, and expanded our offerings. Being accepted into Web Summit and its Startup Showcase program was also a major achievement for us.
Q: What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?
A: I strongly believe in diversity. Two of my top executives are women, and their leadership has been invaluable. While experience and capability matter across genders, I’ve seen firsthand that women can bring a different and often stronger dimension to leadership. My COO and I represented our company at Web Summit, and she took on a huge portion of the research and groundwork. So far, I can confidently say that women in leadership roles have helped shape our growth in a very positive way.
Q: What does success mean to you, both personally and professionally?
A: For me, success is about making a difference in people’s lives. It’s not about money or becoming the next big company—it’s about being a source of hope. If people can turn to me or to SKYBRIZ and find the tools, resources, or information they need to make better decisions, that’s success. The more people I can help, the more fulfilled I feel.
“Positive impact is what drives me. If I can help people make more informed decisions and feel supported, that’s success to me.”
