What strategies do you employ to maintain a healthy work-life balance while running your own business?
To maintain a healthy work-life balance while running my own business, I prioritize time for what matters most—my family. I design my day around family commitments, ensuring that I dedicate quality time to them. This helps me stay grounded and connected, which is essential for my overall well-being.
I also make it a point to find time to exercise at least three times a week. Physical activity not only boosts my energy levels but also helps me manage stress effectively. Whether it’s a quick workout or a longer session, I always feel more focused and productive afterward.
Additionally, I keep a cool book by my nightstand to unwind at the end of the day. Reading allows me to relax and escape into different worlds, providing a perfect way to recharge before bed.
By prioritizing family, staying active, and incorporating relaxation into my routine, I create a balanced lifestyle that supports both my personal and professional goals.
When faced with unexpected detours on your business path, how do you pivot with grace and resilience, showing fellow women entrepreneurs the way forward?
When faced with unexpected detours on my business path, I remind myself that it’s all about progress, not perfection. We don’t have to be great to start, but we do have to start to be great. I view pivots as opportunities to keep life interesting and to get creative.
Instead of seeing these detours as constraints, I embrace them as chances to experiment and try new approaches. This mindset shift allows me to adapt with grace and resilience, and it sets a positive example for people around me.
How do you measure the success of your business beyond financial metrics, such as customer satisfaction or community engagement?
For me, success as a founder has two angles: personal and professional. On the personal side, I assess whether my business is serving the life I want to lead. Is it helping me achieve my personal goals of quality time with my family and financial independence? If my business aligns with these values, I consider it a success.
From a business perspective, we measure success not just by revenue, but by metrics like customer lifetime value. It’s about the quality of relationships we build rather than simply the number of customers we have. I focus on the depth of partnerships and the impact we create together, rather than getting caught up in vanity metrics like followers or likes.
By prioritizing meaningful connections and ensuring my business supports my personal aspirations, I can truly gauge success in a holistic way.

One of the most memorable moments in my business journey occurred when we pivoted from our original idea to a solution that was a much better fit for the market. This transformation was a testament to the power of flexibility and responsiveness.
We took the time to listen to our clients and gather their feedback, which revealed the true problems faced by our target market—problems that differed from what we initially thought. By staying open-minded and agile, we were able to change our entire strategy and product within just a few weeks.
This pivot not only aligned our offerings with the actual needs of our clients but also led to significant growth in customer satisfaction and engagement. Witnessing the positive impact of our services on our clients’ lives reinforced the importance of adaptability and the value of truly understanding our audience. It was a powerful reminder that success often comes from being willing to evolve and respond to the needs of the market.

I believe mentorship plays a crucial role in the success of small businesses. In my case, I have a personal board of directors who keep me grounded and help me grow.
