Humans of Fuzia in conversation with Ria Singhal
Can you share your story — how did you end up where you are today?
I believe the universe listens to what you truly want and aligns the path to get you there. I’ve always been passionate about entrepreneurship, empowering women, and bringing out the best in people.

Eight years ago, when I came across the opportunity with Fuzia — a role that perfectly intersected with all three — I knew I had found where I was meant to be.

What’s a value you live by every day — and is there a childhood memory connected to it?
A value I live by every day is being kind to everyone — and being especially compassionate toward those with fewer means, particularly women who work tirelessly, whether outside or at home, to give us a blessed life.

Growing up, I witnessed the struggles and silent traumas faced by the women in my own family and even by the house helps who supported our home. Those early experiences shaped my belief that kindness isn’t just a virtue — it’s a responsibility.

I deeply believe it is important for every woman to have a voice — to be heard, respected, and empowered to shape her own life.

What’s a moment that made you feel really proud of yourself?
A moment that always makes me feel proud is when I’m able to stand up for myself — and for the women around me. Every time I use my voice to challenge unfairness or support another woman in speaking hers, I’m reminded of the strength we hold when we stand together.

How has being at Fuzia made a difference in your life?
Being at Fuzia has been truly transformative. Working with women from around the world, sharing common challenges, and celebrating our unique journeys has brought so much unity in diversity into my life.

I’ve witnessed how everyone comes together to support each other during challenging times, and it’s inspiring to see a team — majorly comprising women — balance their professional and personal lives so beautifully. It’s a constant reminder of the strength, resilience, and empathy women bring to everything they do.

What message would you give to someone who wants to be in your kind of role?
Lead with compassion, and focus not just on leading, but on creating more leaders. Make people feel confident, valued, and truly heard.

And remember — it’s not always about finding a perfect balance; it’s about integrating your personal and professional worlds in a way that works for you and your team.

“True leadership is not about being in charge — it’s about taking care of those in your charge and empowering them to rise with you.”
