Randi Moxi: Turning Pain into Purpose and Passion

Randi Moxi

Randi Moxi is a woman of remarkable strength, resilience, and purpose. From building her business while battling life-threatening illness to empowering women and children through her creative ventures, Randi’s story is one of faith, grit, and transformation. A communications expert, event producer, and now an inspiring children’s book author, she has faced immense personal and professional challenges — and turned each one into an opportunity to serve, uplift, and heal. Humans of Fuzia celebrates Randi’s unwavering spirit as she continues to inspire others to embrace life’s storms with courage and love.

Q: What inspired you to start your entrepreneurial journey?
Randi: In 2013, my kidneys were failing, and I was often confined to a hospital bed. But I still had the drive to create, connect, and serve others. I had studied theater and communications, so I started producing events and helping brands grow — all from my laptop. My business was born out of necessity, but also passion. I wanted to keep living, thriving, and using my gifts, even when doctors told me I might not make it past 40. That’s how Moxi Global began — as a way to survive, serve, and shine despite my circumstances.

Q: What were some of the biggest challenges you faced along the way?
Randi: One of the hardest things was being told repeatedly that I wasn’t going to live long. That kind of prognosis can shake anyone. But instead of giving up, I poured all my energy into leaving a legacy — helping others, creating beauty, and making sure my work lived on even if I didn’t.

Then, in a moment of divine alignment, I met a holistic doctor who recognized my illness and offered to help me heal in exchange for producing his event. That act of kindness changed my life. It set me on a path of holistic healing and gratitude, and eventually led me back to one of my old passions — pageantry.

I competed for Mrs. Illinois, won, and used that platform to raise millions for causes close to my heart. Later, I became a director and mentored other women and young girls. Even when I could barely walk, I showed up — because I had made a commitment to them. My story is one of endurance, faith, and finding light through pain.

Q: Are you a solopreneur or do you have a team supporting you?
Randi: Everyone needs a team. Earlier, my team was large — when I was directing pageants, surrounded by winners and leaders. But when I stepped away to heal, that circle got smaller. I learned who truly stood by me. It was a hard but beautiful lesson — to value quality over quantity, and to love people where they are. God sometimes prunes your garden so you can bloom again. The people who stayed through every version of me — those are my real team, my roots, my home.

Q: What’s your perspective on women in leadership today?
Randi: We need more women in leadership — and not just a few token positions. We need a balance of divine feminine energy in leadership across all walks of life. God created both man and woman, and both deserve to have a seat at the table. True leadership must represent all genders, races, and backgrounds. Women bring compassion, intuition, and balance — qualities the world deeply needs right now.

Q: What message do you have for future women leaders?
Randi: Never give up. No matter how difficult life becomes — emotionally, physically, or spiritually — keep going. Take one step, then another. You are here for a reason. If you feel in your heart that you’re meant to lead, then lead — unapologetically.

Q: How do you define success, personally and professionally?
Randi: For me, success is rooted in love, peace, and joy. If those aren’t at the table, then it’s not success. I live by the fruits of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. Those qualities guide every book I write, every prayer I say, and every project I create. When you live in alignment with those values, everything else falls beautifully into place.

“Never give up. You are here for a reason. Keep going — one step, one breath, one act of faith at a time.” — Randi Moxi
