Ramona Fricke’s story is one of courage, inner exploration, and the pursuit of authenticity. Deeply connected to nature since childhood and shaped by the loss of her mother, Ramona chose a path of self-discovery that led her to coaching women who feel misplaced in the world. Through her journey across continents, industries, and personal struggles, she has found her calling: helping others uncover their unique voice, purpose, and presence. Humans of Fuzia celebrates Ramona for her commitment to guiding women to embrace who they truly are and for reminding us that being fully alive is the greatest success of all.
Q: What inspired you to start your journey?
Ramona: My journey goes back to childhood. I had a deep connection to nature and noticed how everything in nature has its own place and purpose. At home, I witnessed the opposite—my mother spent 45 years in the same job, disconnected from her passions, and she passed away before retirement. That experience left me with a strong impulse to figure out my own place in the world and ensure I didn’t fade away without truly living.
Q: What challenges did you face in finding your path?
Ramona: For a long time, I felt overwhelmed by the endless choices I had. I joined fellowships, communities, and programs, but nothing seemed to fit. Despite privilege and opportunities, I felt isolated and useless inside. It wasn’t until I discovered Feminine Power and went through years of inner work that I began piecing it all together. Burnout at 25 also forced me to step back and honor my own mind, body, and way of working.
Q: How did you turn these challenges into your life’s work?
Ramona: I realized that my struggle was actually my gift. Having worked across three continents and multiple industries, I now help others navigate their own positioning—finding their gifts, aligning with their values, and creating offerings that reflect their true selves. My work is about building the tools and resilience to step into unknown territory with confidence.
Q: Do you work alone or with a team?
Ramona: I’m a solopreneur, but I thrive in an ecosystem of collaborators. For instance, I’m co-creating a masterclass with my colleague Molly Rubin to help women identify the support they need and build empowering networks. It’s important for me to model what I teach—no one should have to do it all alone.
Q: What’s your perspective on women in leadership today?
Ramona: I see inspiring progress, but also recognize the diverse realities women face across the globe. Beyond external barriers, many of us carry internalized sexism that holds us back. The growing edge is about honoring our needs, supporting each other deeply, and stripping away these internalized limits. My relationship with my “power partner,” Molly, is an example of how women can hold space for each other’s becoming.
Q: What message do you have for aspiring women leaders?
Ramona: Every dream you sense inside yourself is real, even if you don’t yet know how to make it happen. We often look for signposts or mentors to show us the way, but as women creating the future, we’re stepping into uncharted territory. The real work is to build tools that help us navigate the unknown with courage.
Q: What is your idea of success?
Ramona: For me, success means being alive—truly alive. The world needs more people who have come alive, not those who slowly fade away.
