Muss Haq: Bringing the Human Back Into Business

Muss Haq

With nearly 25 years of experience across financial services, retail, and global consultancies, Muss Haq has built his career around one powerful belief: people must come before processes and technology. His work centers on creating human-first organizations where emotional intelligence, culture, and customer connection take the lead. Humans of Fuzia is proud to feature Muss for his deep commitment to reshaping workplaces, empowering employees, and inspiring leaders to build with compassion—values that resonate strongly within our global community of 5M+ women and allies championing empowerment, equality, and meaningful change.

What inspired your journey into customer experience and culture transformation?

For Muss, everything began with a passion for placing people at the heart of business. While the world rushed toward tech-first solutions, he felt it was essential to preserve the human element—both for employees and customers. His 25-year career led him to author The Year of AI and Customer Centricity, a book meant to help organizations understand human connection in business language. After leaving full-time employment last year, he founded RU-CX, a consultancy dedicated to helping small and medium businesses adopt customer-centric structures, use tech wisely, and empower their teams to thrive.

What has your entrepreneurial journey been like so far?

Muss describes it as both challenging and rewarding. The first phase was all about sharing knowledge, offering value, building a personal brand, and connecting with the right communities. He has since developed a six-stage framework that helps businesses strengthen culture, communication, customer journey design, behavioral insights, emotional intelligence, and data-driven improvement. Now, his focus is proving the impact of his work through real transformation inside organizations.

What do you consider your greatest milestone so far?

He believes his biggest milestone is still ahead. For Muss, true success will be seeing organizations actively apply his teachings and experience meaningful growth as a result.

What are your thoughts on women in leadership?

Muss strongly believes that women are excelling across industries, often outperforming men due to their emotional intelligence, people-centered approach, and ability to understand and value human dynamics. He admires how women are not just taking seats at existing tables—but creating their own. As a father of a daughter, he advocates for confidence, independence, and equal opportunity, and is always open to mentoring women who want to learn and grow in this space.

What message would you like to share with future women leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs?

“Don’t get disheartened when things don’t work out. Stay passionate about what you believe in and go for it. It’s better to try and fail than never try at all. There will always be people who support you—keep learning, keep growing, and others will follow your passion.”

What is your personal definition of success?

For Muss, success isn’t merely financial—it’s about fulfilling your mission and making a genuine difference. He believes true success lies in being remembered for the impact you made and the value you gave back to society.

“Follow your passion, believe in your purpose, and continue learning. The difference you make in the world will define your success.”
