Q: What inspired you to begin your journey as an entrepreneur?
Monique: The pandemic gave me the time to pause and reflect on what truly fulfilled me. I asked myself—what lights me up, and how can I channel that to help others? That’s how I started my business, SORM Without Limits Enterprises. It began as a travel agency to empower women by taking them around the world. Since travel wasn’t possible at first, I created a course on international travel. Later, I led my first women’s trip to Dubai in 2022, published my first book Take That Trip Girl: The Ultimate Bucket List Journal, and eventually launched my podcast to reach and inspire more women globally.

Q: What were the biggest challenges you faced starting out?
Monique: One of the biggest challenges was self-belief. Any time you step into something new, doubt naturally creeps in. I had to overcome those fears by stepping out on faith, working on my business in the early mornings while still working full-time, and learning to honor my own commitments. It required discipline, sacrifice, and time management. My message to others: don’t build someone else’s dream while letting your own crumble.

Q: What has been your proudest milestone so far?
Monique: Without a doubt, it’s hearing from my clients. Many of them start out doubting their own potential, but seeing their transformation—watching them step into confidence and faith in themselves—is my greatest reward. To be a cheerleader for women until they can cheer for themselves is the most fulfilling part of my work.

Q: What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?
Monique: We’ve made great strides, but there’s still much more to achieve. Leadership isn’t just about those in high positions—it’s about raising our voices and reaching back to mentor the next generation of young women. If we start nurturing leadership early, we can break many more ceilings and create lasting change.

Q: What message would you share with aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs?
Monique: Break the chains of self-limiting beliefs. Often, the biggest obstacles are not external but internal. Do it afraid, keep pressing forward, and believe in yourself. Surround yourself with people who uplift and support your dreams rather than diminish them. We can go further together than we ever could alone.

Q: How do you personally define success?
Monique: Success is not about money or accolades—it’s about impact. For me, success will be measured by whether, long after I am gone, my name still rings in the hearts and halls of women whose lives I’ve touched and uplifted. That’s the true legacy I strive for.

“Your only obstacle is the limit you place on yourself. Do it afraid, and surround yourself with those who uplift your dream.” – Monique Pearson
