Migena, tell us about your journey. How did you go from Albania to running your own company in the U.S.?
I was born and raised in Albania and moved to New York City 22 years ago. Like many immigrants, I faced the challenge of starting over—learning English, juggling three jobs while attending college, and constantly building from the ground up. I graduated with an economics degree, but due to the economic crash, I couldn’t land a job in finance. So I started working in recruitment, became a project manager, and eventually managed operations for massive corporate spaces—including the Goldman Sachs headquarters in NYC.
I wore many hats—literally—serving food in the mornings and managing skyscrapers in the evenings. Over the years, I held leadership roles in several billion-dollar companies before deciding that I didn’t want to work for companies anymore—I wanted to work with them. That’s when I launched Eagles LLC, a consulting firm that helps other businesses grow through strategic partnerships, business development, and human connection.
What exactly does Eagles LLC do, and who do you work with?
My company is an extension of businesses looking to scale. I work with clients across industries—health, sustainability, publishing, technology—because I’m more interested in their impact than their sector.
I focus on impact-driven brands—like women founders, sustainability-focused companies, and mission-led startups. I help them form strategic partnerships, find funding, connect with manufacturers, and scale globally. Think of me as a liaison or bridge—I link people, businesses, and opportunities. I’ve also published six books that highlight women’s stories worldwide and helped many become first-time authors, because their voices matter.
What is your message to new entrepreneurs struggling to get clients?
Everyone wants more clients, but before that, you need clarity. Know your “why.” Why are you in business? What difference do you want to make? When you believe in your why, you become the product—and it becomes easier to make those calls, send emails, or network with purpose.
Entrepreneurship is not about waiting to be ready. Start anyway. You will never have all the answers, but with consistency, persistence, kindness, and the willingness to ask for help, you’ll grow. And remember: You are not alone.
You’ll meet people who may not be your answer—but you are the answer to your own journey. Never come from a place of desperation. Lead with intention, authenticity, and service. Success is built on seeds you’ve planted, even when the fruits don’t show up right away.
What excites you most about the work you’re doing now?
Every day, I get to be a door-opener for someone else’s dream—whether it’s a founder launching a new product or a company ready to expand globally. I’m proud to say that I’m industry-agnostic and deeply intentional about the people I choose to represent.
I love being that connector, the “glue” between vision and opportunity. I sit in the middle, open both hands, and bring people together—because when we lift others, we all rise. That’s my purpose.
“Entrepreneurship is not just about business—it’s about service, resilience, and human connection. You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to start—and keep going.”
