Q: Can you tell us a little about your journey and what led you to become a coach?
Michelle Judd: I spent 18 years in management technology consulting, progressing from analyst to associate director. Although I was successful, I didn’t find my work fulfilling. Two years ago, a global redundancy scheme became a turning point—I chose to leave my secure position and find a role with meaning. I trained as a coach and hypnotherapist and launched Mindology Coaching. From the start, my business has grown organically through referrals because I genuinely love helping people create positive change in their lives.
Q: What does Mindology Coaching focus on?
Michelle Judd: Mindology Coaching is about harnessing the power of the mind. I don’t limit myself to one type of coaching. I offer life, mindset, career, leadership, and neurodiversity coaching—whatever the client needs. Every session is tailored to the individual. I also integrate hypnotherapy, which addresses the unconscious mind, helping clients release limiting beliefs and heal past challenges while coaching them forward.
Q: How do you bring your personal experiences into your work?
Michelle Judd: My own lived experiences shape my approach. I have ADHD, my eldest son has autism, two other children have ADHD, and my husband has ADHD. This has given me a unique understanding of neurodiversity and the challenges people face. It’s why creating safe, supportive spaces for clients to explore their potential is central to my mission.
Q: What are some challenges you face as a coach?
Michelle Judd: Like everyone, I deal with doubt and uncertainty. Sometimes my mind tells me, “Why would anyone listen to you?” Recognizing those thoughts and consciously choosing to act despite them is an ongoing challenge. It’s also what I coach my clients to do—notice, accept, and act differently to create change.
Q: How do you leverage technology and data in your work?
Michelle Judd: I use data to understand patterns in the challenges people face. For example, by analyzing hundreds of client interactions, I identified common limiting beliefs and created resources like podcasts, books, and training courses. I’m also developing an AI chatbot on my website to offer coaching experiences for free, giving people a taste of the transformation coaching can bring. Technology and AI help me scale my impact while keeping my focus on meaningful client work.
Q: What are your aspirations for the future?
Michelle Judd: I envision Mindology Coaching evolving into a wellness hub, particularly for women, offering coaching, holistic therapies, and support for neurodiverse individuals. My goal is to create a space where people can access resources, guidance, and care to thrive in life, personally and professionally.
Q: Any motivational advice for our readers?
Michelle Judd: I follow my AAA principle: Awareness, Acceptance, Act. First, be aware of your thoughts. Then accept them without judgment. Finally, take action to create change. And don’t forget to have fun—life is meant to be lived with joy. Keeping yourself happy starts with controlling your mind and cultivating positive thoughts.
Michelle’s journey reminds us that true fulfillment comes from courageously following your purpose, embracing change, and using your experiences to uplift others. She believes that by being aware, accepting, acting, and enjoying life, we can create meaningful change in ourselves and the world around us.
