Tell us a little about yourself and what led to the creation of Sync In.
I come from a tech background—specifically in user research—and have worked in both large tech companies and startups. Over the last decade, I’ve personally practiced cycle syncing and saw how impactful it was in aligning my life with my body’s natural rhythms. However, when I underwent a fitness program designed by male athletes and lost my cycle, I realized how underrepresented women’s health is in traditional fitness. That became the catalyst. I wanted to flip the script and build a tool that puts women’s health, hormones, and well-being at the center of fitness.
What exactly is Sync In, and how is it different from other fitness or cycle tracking apps?
Sync In is more than just a tracker. It’s a secure, supportive platform designed to help women understand their hormones and body signals, and then turn that understanding into actionable fitness plans. What sets it apart is how it tailors workouts and recovery recommendations based on the user’s current hormonal phase. We’re also working on integrating expert guidance and wearables to give women a full picture of their health—training, refueling, and rest.
Who is the platform for? Is it suitable for all age groups?
We’re starting with women who are actively cycle syncing, but the plan is to expand to all life phases—from teens to menopausal women. Every stage of a woman’s life has its own hormonal shifts, and Sync In will support them through each phase with education and empowerment. The earlier women understand their bodies, the more aligned and confident they can be throughout their lives.
How are you creating awareness around Sync In in the digital space?
We’re focusing on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, especially since our target demographic is already active there. I believe that value should lead the way, so we’re also exploring ambassador programs with college athletes and young professionals who can share their real experiences with the app. In the future, we hope to collaborate with professional women’s sports teams and health-focused brands to reach even more people.
What goals do you have for Sync In in the next year or so?
My main goal is execution—getting the app launched and into the hands of users. I want to see women make even the smallest shift in how they train—something as simple as switching from a high plank to a forearm plank to honor their body’s needs. That kind of awareness and self-respect is exactly what Sync In stands for. Ultimately, I want this platform to become a gold standard in how women train and take care of themselves.
What challenges have you faced on this journey?
Oh, there have been many. From learning to low-code and build the MVP myself to constantly seeking the right help—it’s been a grind. One of the hardest parts has been managing the inner self-doubt. As a founder, especially in the early stages, you often have to believe in the vision when no one else can see it yet. It’s been a lesson in persistence, asking for help repeatedly, and showing up even when it’s hard.
What keeps you going through those tough moments?
I remind myself that consistency and hard work are non-negotiable if I want this to scale. I also find grounding in nature and reflect on how even trees drop countless seeds—some take root, some don’t, but they keep growing. That’s how I try to approach this journey.
Finally, what message would you like to share with the women in our community?
We are all capable of showing up and making changes. If you ever feel like you aren’t, question that belief—because chances are, you are more capable than you realize. Trust that inner spark. There’s someone out there who believes in you. Can you believe in yourself too?
“Even the smallest shift in how you treat your body is an act of empowerment. You have permission to honor yourself.”
