Leadership, Entrepreneurship & Authentic Communication: How Jane Hanson Is Helping Leaders Tell Stories That Inspire Trust | Humans of Fuzia

Jane Hanson

The most powerful leaders are not always the loudest voices in the room—they are the ones who know how to communicate with authenticity, confidence, and purpose.

That belief has guided Jane Hanson’s remarkable career. Featured on Humans of Fuzia, a global thought-leadership platform where founders, entrepreneurs, coaches, innovators, executives, women leaders, and changemakers share ideas that advance leadership, entrepreneurship, coaching, business growth, and socially conscious innovation, Hanson shares how decades in broadcast journalism became the foundation for helping today’s leaders communicate with greater clarity and impact.

Before founding Hanson-Hanson Strategies (HHS Productions), Jane spent many years as an award-winning television journalist with NBC in New York, covering major global events and interviewing influential personalities. While she loved storytelling, the relentless pace of live news eventually led her to a powerful realization: her greatest skill wasn’t simply reporting stories—it was helping people tell their own. That insight inspired her entrepreneurial journey and a new mission to empower leaders through communication.

Today, Jane works with executives, entrepreneurs, and organizations through media training, presentation coaching, and executive presence development. She helps leaders become more effective communicators by teaching them how to present ideas with confidence, connect authentically with audiences, and inspire trust. A significant part of her work also focuses on supporting women leaders, helping them recognize their value and step confidently into positions of influence.

Like many founders, Jane acknowledges that scaling a service-based business comes with unique challenges.

As a small business owner, she has learned that successful growth depends on understanding what should remain in the founder’s hands and what should be delegated to trusted specialists. From accountants and social media professionals to editors and videographers, she believes thoughtful delegation allows entrepreneurs to focus on the work that creates the greatest value while freeing time for innovation and growth.

One of the most practical lessons she shares with fellow entrepreneurs is to identify their core strengths honestly. Jane recommends making two lists: one identifying the work you do exceptionally well and another highlighting the tasks you neither enjoy nor perform effectively. This simple exercise makes delegation more intentional while allowing founders to build businesses around their unique strengths rather than trying to master everything themselves.

Innovation continues to shape Jane’s business as well. She recently launched StageCoach, a communication coaching platform that allows users to upload short videos and receive personalized feedback on voice, body language, eye contact, and presentation skills. Designed to make professional communication coaching more accessible, the platform reflects her commitment to helping people communicate with confidence at every stage of their careers. Alongside this, she is returning to work on her next book while continuing to share communication insights through her writing on Substack.

When asked what defines an honest entrepreneur, Jane’s answer was refreshingly straightforward.

For her, honesty means delivering exactly what you promise, pricing your work fairly, recognizing your own value, maintaining integrity with clients, and having the courage to ask for help when it is needed. She also believes true professionalism sometimes requires walking away from engagements where clients are unwilling to commit to the work required for meaningful results.

Execution Tip

Create two simple lists today: “What only I can do” and “What someone else could do better.” The faster entrepreneurs learn to delegate intentionally, the more time they create for innovation, leadership, and meaningful growth.

Jane Hanson’s journey demonstrates that communication is one of the most valuable leadership skills an entrepreneur can develop. By helping people discover their authentic voice and tell their stories with confidence, she continues to empower leaders to build stronger businesses, stronger teams, and stronger human connections. Stories like hers reflect why Humans of Fuzia continues to spotlight leaders who transform experience into lasting impact through authenticity and purposeful communication.
