Jon, can you tell us about the journey that led you to where you are today?
I’ve been an entrepreneur all my life—running everything from side hustles to large companies with over $100 million in revenue. Right now, my focus is split across three main ventures:

  1. Gen AIPI (General AI Proficiency Institute) – where I help businesses and professionals become AI-ready through training and certification.
  2. Velocity Access – a venue management platform for ticketing, hotels, concessions, and more—designed for complex resorts and large venues.
  3. Flow State Leadership – my consulting brand where I work with startups and enterprises on AI strategy, sales, fundraising, and business development.
I’m also an author and musician, so creativity has always been a part of my world. I love combining business with impact and purpose.

Do you work solo or have a team supporting you in your ventures?
It’s a mix. Some of my businesses started out solo, like Gen AIPI, but I now have a team helping out. Velocity Access has always had a small core team of around eight people. My consulting under Flow State Leadership is mostly just me, but I bring in other experts when needed. Thanks to AI and automations, I can run a lot of my operations independently—marketing, sales, admin, all of it.

What advice would you give to new entrepreneurs starting out in this AI-driven world?
AI has truly leveled the playing field. I’ve raised millions of dollars because I couldn’t build software myself. Today, anyone can build using AI. Whether it’s sales, marketing, or development—AI can help fill the gaps. So, don’t let your lack of technical skills hold you back. You can do so much more than you think.

Who is your target audience and what regions do you serve?
Most of my business is based in the U.S., but I’ve worked across China, Canada, and other global regions. I’m fluent in Chinese and Spanish, in addition to English, which gives me an edge in working with diverse clients. I serve a global audience—any organization that wants to use AI to reduce costs and improve efficiency is a good fit for what I offer.

What’s your approach to social media, and how important is it in your work?
Social media is critical. I post 2–5 times daily across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and more. I treat it like my daily sales activity—sharing helpful content, tips, and insights. I don’t do any paid advertising right now; almost everything comes through organic reach. Consistency and value are key. You’re building trust and visibility.

Do you have any exciting upcoming launches or projects?
Yes! I’m launching a self-paced version of my most popular course—“How to Build a Business in a Weekend with AI.” Until now, I’ve only delivered it in live workshops. But now, people will be able to access the same training anytime at a lower cost. It’s exciting because it makes this powerful course more accessible to more people.

“AI fills in the gaps—whatever you’re not good at, it can support you. The future belongs to those who are willing to learn, build, and adapt.”
