Gregory Gray: Guiding Leaders to Create Lasting Impact

Gregory Gray

Gregory Gray is a seasoned entrepreneur, executive coach, and consultant with decades of experience helping businesses grow with purpose. With a background in Lean Six Sigma and automotive manufacturing, he has dedicated his career to guiding leaders toward operational efficiency and meaningful impact. Humans of Fuzia is featuring Gregory because his story reflects our shared mission of empowering individuals to build stronger, more inclusive communities. With over 5 million members working together for a He-for-She and She-for-She future, his journey reminds us that leadership is not about titles or numbers—it’s about people and positive change.

Q: Gregory, can you tell us a little about your journey as an entrepreneur and coach?
I’ve worn many hats—entrepreneur, business owner, and partner in several ventures—but at my core, I’m both a coach and an entrepreneur. My career started in automotive manufacturing with Lean Six Sigma, and when I left that space, I moved into coaching and consulting. I launched my own practice to help small to medium-sized businesses grow and achieve operational efficiency.

Q: What kinds of businesses have you worked with?
Industry doesn’t matter as much as the challenges they face. My clients range from manufacturing and medical to construction, software, and beyond. What unites them is their need to grow and become more efficient. Typically, my clients are businesses with 20 to 200 employees, though I’ve worked with both smaller and larger organizations.

Q: Do you work independently or with a team?
It depends on the project. Sometimes I work one-on-one with a client, and other times I bring in strategic partners to support specific needs. I believe any good coach or consultant should have a network of trusted partners they can rely on, and I’ve built that over the years.

Q: Many entrepreneurs struggle to get clients. What has your experience been?
After doing this for a long time, I now receive most of my clients through referrals. Still, I think about lead generation often, especially as I’m taking my business more digital. I’m currently launching a community called Everyday Business Leader, which will allow me to reach hundreds of business owners at once. It’s about making valuable insights more accessible, even for those who can’t afford full-time consulting. For me, every lead is a human being. Even if someone doesn’t become a client, they should walk away with something valuable.

Q: How do you personally define success?
Success, for me, has nothing to do with money or numbers. It’s about impact—did I make a positive difference in someone’s life or business? That could mean a young entrepreneur walking away with clarity after a 30-minute conversation, or a company thriving financially because of strategies we implemented. In both cases, value was created, and that is success.

Q: You mentioned launching something new. Can you tell us more about it?
Yes, we’re about to launch an app called Everyday Business Leader (listed as Everyday BL on iOS). It’s designed to help leaders grow themselves and, in turn, their businesses. Many of my clients have asked how they can give their teams more access to my coaching without the high cost of one-on-one sessions. This app and community will provide affordable, practical guidance on leadership development at scale.

Q: What’s one piece of advice you’d like to leave with our audience?
We all have blind spots, and by definition, we can’t see them ourselves. That’s why I believe everyone needs a coach or mentor—someone who can help reveal those blind spots and guide growth. Even as a coach myself, I have my own coaches. Feedback and mentorship are invaluable.

“Success is not measured by numbers—it’s measured by the impact you have on others. If you’ve made a difference in someone’s life, you’ve succeeded.” – Gregory Gray
