Humans of Fuzia is proud to spotlight Gill’s inspiring journey, reminding our global audience of 5 million that true impact happens when people come together with love, purpose, and unity. At Fuzia, we stand for He for She and She for She, and Gill’s work exemplifies this spirit of collective empowerment.

Who is Gill Tiney? How would you describe yourself?
I’ve often been called an eternal optimist—and sometimes people say it as though that’s a bad thing! But I choose to always see the good side and look for how we can improve any situation. Even when something upsets me, I try to reframe it: What can we learn from this? I’ve also been described as “too good to be true,” which I take as a compliment. My greatest joy is bringing good people together. When entrepreneurs try to make a difference alone, it breaks my heart. But when they unite with others who share their passion, their impact grows exponentially.

Tell us more about your work and your community, Collaboration Global.
Collaboration Global is my passion project—it’s an organic, self-organizing community of people who want to do good in the world. We create a space where individuals can be their true, authentic selves. It’s a safe environment where people can learn, practice, fail, succeed, be vulnerable, and, most importantly, collaborate. Everyone in the community is driven by a desire to help others, discover their inner magic, and leave a positive legacy. Of course, we make money too—but our true currency is connection, joy, and meaningful impact.

Who do you serve through Collaboration Global?
Our community is wonderfully diverse. We’ve welcomed students, new entrepreneurs, seasoned business owners—anyone who has reached a point where they realize life isn’t just about personal success. It’s about doing something for others, making a difference, and lifting each other up. That shared mindset is what unites us.

How do people discover you and your work?
I’ve written a few books on collaboration, host the podcast Being Human, Hidden Depths, and gave a TEDx talk last year. We’re also active on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn. We regularly post content, share member stories, and host monthly Zoom gatherings to bring people together.

What’s the biggest challenge you face as a leader?
Honestly, I get in my own way sometimes! I love connecting with people and sharing what we’re doing, but I often find myself buried in admin tasks or day-to-day operations. I’m lucky to have three amazing women supporting me, but I need to let go a bit more and focus on what I do best—talking, inspiring, and building connections.

What are your short-term plans for this year?
I’m organizing a webinar to clarify what Collaboration Global truly is. People often mistake us for a networking group or business mastermind, but we’re more than that—we’re a movement. I want to show how real, non-transactional collaboration can solve problems not only in business but across society. And of course, I want to keep growing the community and helping more people.

What message would you share with women entrepreneurs, mompreneurs, and professionals?
When you look at the world’s challenges, it’s easy to feel small—like “what can I do?” But when you connect with others who share your passion, your potential multiplies. We’ve partnered with organizations like the World Mental Health Forum, Fatima’s UK campaign, and Business for Good, and seen firsthand how unity creates miracles. Plug into the right community, surround yourself with people who share your mission, and come from a place of love—not just profit. Money is a tool, but love is far more powerful. With that mindset, you’ll discover your passion, live your purpose, and yes—create magic.

“You’re not alone. When good people come together with love, passion, and purpose—miracles happen.”
