Q: What inspired you to start your journey as a leadership coach?
I was a leader in the corporate space for many years, but over time I felt unfulfilled. The part of my role I loved most was leadership development, so I decided to pursue a master’s degree in the field. That decision changed everything. I transitioned into a full-time leadership development role and eventually realized I wanted to branch out and work with leaders across the globe. With the help of great mentors and years of experience, I built my own coaching and consulting practice, and 10 years later, here I am—still learning, still growing, and excited about what’s next.

Q: What challenges did you face while establishing yourself, and how did you overcome them?
The biggest challenge was maintaining consistent clients and contracts. There were times when I struggled to make the income I needed to sustain myself. Mentorship played a huge role in helping me gain clarity and confidence. I also learned to view opportunities differently—sometimes the reward isn’t immediate financial gain but exposure, connections, and long-term growth. Over time, I worked with some incredible organizations like PepsiCo, Prudential, and Oshkosh Defense, and many of my most meaningful opportunities came from relationships built years earlier.

Q: Do you work solo, or do you have a team supporting you?
I run my own practice but I don’t do it alone. I have an operations manager who supports me with a team for social media, administration, and other tasks that free me up to focus on the work I love most. Especially with my upcoming book and plans for courses and certifications around inquisitive leadership, having the right people in place is essential.

Q: What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?
We are rocking it! Women have more opportunities than ever to step into leadership roles, and we are better equipped with the networks and support systems needed to succeed. Still, leadership at higher levels can be lonely, which makes community and mentorship critical. I’m encouraged to see so many women-focused leadership networks and organizations creating pathways for women to not only rise but thrive.

Q: What message would you like to share with aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs?
Take your time and build a strong foundation. Many young women I mentor want quick success, but the truth is every step teaches you something you’ll need later. Always keep learning, growing, and networking. Find mentors, get involved in associations, and don’t be afraid to pursue opportunities—even if they don’t pay much at first—because they can lead to long-term success. And above all, never stop believing in your ability to grow into the leader you aspire to be.

Q: How do you personally define success?
For me, success is about impact. It’s the feeling of knowing my work not only fulfills me but also helps others. Success is measured by reach—how many people I can impact—and by what those people go on to share with others. When I can lay my head down at night knowing I’ve made a difference, that is success.

“Success is not just about what you achieve—it’s about the lives you touch and the impact that ripples far beyond you.” – Frederica Peterson
