Felipe Moulin: Building a Life and Career Rooted in Purpose, Consistency, and Equality

Felipe Moulin

Felipe Moulin is a global marketing consultant whose journey spans continents, cultures, and careers. From working in top advertising agencies across Europe to returning home to Brazil to build a consultancy on his own terms, Felipe’s story is one of courage, self-belief, and purpose. Humans of Fuzia features Felipe for his strong advocacy for gender equality, his thoughtful approach to leadership, and his belief that meaningful success comes from consistency, compassion, and balance.

What inspired you to start your entrepreneurial journey?
About twelve years ago, I moved to Europe and lived in countries like Germany, Ireland, and the UK. I worked with several advertising agencies, gained experience, and built expertise in effective marketing. After many years, I felt a strong calling to return to my home country, Brazil. That’s when I decided to open my own consultancy—focusing on the area I knew best and where I felt I could genuinely help companies around the world, while also being where I personally wanted to be.

What were some of the biggest challenges you faced as an entrepreneur?
New business was definitely the biggest challenge. You rely heavily on your existing network at first, but eventually you reach a limit. After that, you have to reach out to new people, overcome fear of rejection, deal with imposter syndrome, and learn how to communicate your value effectively. That process—emotionally and professionally—was the hardest part for me and still is at times.

What has been your proudest milestone so far?
Professionally, working on a Super Bowl campaign for Lay’s in collaboration with a U.S. agency stands out. The campaign became the public’s favorite that year, and I was deeply involved in leading it. On a personal level, learning how to stay motivated while working independently—without a traditional team structure—has been a huge milestone. You really have to push yourself every single day.

What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?
I want to see more women in leadership roles across every sector. I hope we reach a point where topics like income inequality are no longer even discussed because they no longer exist. Maternity leave, cultural perceptions around working mothers, and unequal parental responsibilities are still major issues. Equality shouldn’t stop at words—it needs to reflect in laws, workplaces, and everyday life. I strongly believe in shared responsibility and shared opportunity.

What message would you like to share with aspiring women entrepreneurs?
Entrepreneurship is tough, and failure is part of the journey—but that’s okay. Everything solid takes time. Consistency matters more than a big idea or even financial backing. Motivation may fade, but consistency will carry you forward. Keep going, even when it’s hard.

What does success mean to you—personally and professionally?
Success is doing what you love, being paid fairly for it, and having the mental stability to appreciate what truly matters—relationships, learning, and the people and beings you care for. Money is a means, not the destination. What matters most is the life you build around your work.

“Consistency is more powerful than any big idea—it’s the quiet, daily commitment that builds something meaningful.”
