Could you elaborate on the nature of your business, highlighting its purpose and the ways it benefits people?
Cooper Consulting Firm is a financial coaching business dedicated to empowering women on their journey to financial freedom. As someone who has personally experienced the weight of debt and the feeling of being overwhelmed with no clear path forward, I became a financial coach to be the support I once needed. My mission is to help women eliminate debt, shift their money mindset, and gain the education and confidence needed to take control of their finances and build a better future.
What inspired you to start your journey as a coach and entrepreneur? Were there any specific events, challenges, or people that motivated you to take this path?
I started Cooper Consulting Firm to escape the corporate life. I wanted a better work-life balance to spend more time with my family and I wanted to help others. Yes, I was once where my clients are and needed the same help I offer them.
Looking back at the beginning of your career, what were the major challenges you faced when establishing yourself as a leader/coach? How did you overcome those obstacles?
A major challenge in the beginning was making sure to be true to my why for starting the company. I wanted more flexibility and to spend more time with my family. That means when I leave my office, I’m not bringing my work home with me. I’m not answering emails or taking calls at home, but doing those things during office hours.
Would you like to share any remarkable achievement?
Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
There are not enough women in leadership today. There should be mentorship and development programs within companies to help women step into the leadership positions they desire.
What message/advice would you have for future women leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs?
Stay dedicated to your “why”. When I say “why”, I mean why do you want to become a leader or why did you become an entrepreneur. Revisiting your why will keep you motivated.
