What were your initial years of growing up like? Tell us about your life before starting your corporate journey/venture/initiative.
I always remember wanting to do well, be the “smart” girl, and being overly serious and responsible. As the eldest of a large family, I was called in to help with parenting and home caring early, leaving less time for play. I knew that working hard, getting a scholarship, and going to college was my way to create a life different than my parents, so that is what I did!

Early on, I was drawn to volunteering for causes I believed in and that has stayed with me through my adulthood as I continue to serve on nonprofit boards and as a community volunteer.

Every industry that is now a large-scale, top-notch business once started as a small idea in the minds of entrepreneurs. What was that idea or motivation that made you start your business/initiative? What motivated you within to say YES, go for it?
I knew there was more to life than business and being a workaholic… so after leaving my career to stay home with children, I thought that would be the answer to “living my purpose.”

I still suffered from adrenal fatigue!

So, after an intellectually stimulating career, an emotionally romantic and heart-opening stint as mother and wife, I realized there had to be more to self-fulfillment. What was it?

After dabbling in women’s empowerment topics, I found the Art of Feminine Presence (add the Registered TM please!) practices and became a teacher.

Once I added the spiritual/mind/body connection, I wanted to share it with all women looking for true connection with Self, others, and Purpose.

Would you like to share with our young budding women entrepreneurs the change you would like to see in the world if given an opportunity?
Absolutely!

Women are a growing force in the workplaces worldwide, standing shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts. There are cracks in glass ceilings everywhere, with many women breaking through to carve out a space right at the top of the pyramid. What are your thoughts about women leadership today?
It’s time for women to not only be courageous to break the molds we were put into, but to create new ways for being, leading, and loving. With a natural chemical and physiological tendency to be more relational, we can put those skills into our own self-care as well as our care of others and the planet.

Once we are connected internally, we can create the connections and networks to connect with those we are here to serve, and serve with. Being a woman, and therefore a leader, once we tap into our own complex systems of emotional, intellectual, and physical wisdoms, we can create the world we want to live in.

What’s the most important thing you have learned in your personal life and professional journey? What is your personal motto in life?
Connecting with others authentically naturally results when I am connected within, fully present, and open-hearted. Tune in, turn on my Light, turn it up in service to the world.

With your grit and determination, you are making a considerable impact, breaking through, and serving as role models for many budding entrepreneurs. What would you want to say to our young women leaders/audience reading this?
It’s okay to make mistakes! Be gentle with yourself, and celebrate other women for any success they achieve. There’s plenty of success to go around, no need to be jealous or competitive.
