Elaine Taylor-Klaus: Bringing Leadership Home to Empower Parents and Professionals

Elaine Taylor-Klaus

Elaine Taylor-Klaus is the co-founder of ImpactParents and a pioneer in supporting parents and professionals of neurodiverse children. What began as a personal journey to help her own children turned into a global mission to equip families and leaders with the skills to navigate life’s complexities with strength, compassion, and resilience. Through her work, Elaine has touched countless lives across six continents, making her story one that inspires our community of over 5 million changemakers striving to create a more inclusive and supportive world.

Q: What inspired you to become a coach?
Elaine: I became a coach because I was raising kids who were struggling in school and in life. I needed help, and the kind of help I needed wasn’t available. When I discovered coaching, I found a way of communicating that was empowering and uplifting for me and my kids. It was so transformative that I decided to become a coach to support other parents of complex kids who were going through the same struggles.

Q: Tell us about the mission behind your work.
Elaine: From the very beginning, my mission has been to bring a neuro-informed coaching approach to families and professionals. It’s about taking a strength-based, empowering perspective to support people in living their fullest lives. Whether I’m helping parents raise children, guiding professionals who work with kids, or supporting executives facing challenges with neurodiversity, the goal is always the same: better communication, stronger relationships, and positive outcomes.

Q: What is ImpactParents aiming to achieve in the coming years?
Elaine: ImpactParents serves parents and professionals of kids navigating complex challenges. We currently support families across six continents, and our resources have been translated into several languages, with Arabic on the way. Looking ahead, our next frontier is expanding into professional training. We believe that every workplace can benefit from a neuro-informed coaching approach—it helps teams communicate better, build stronger relationships, and adapt more effectively to today’s uncertain world.

Q: How do you view women empowerment and leadership?
Elaine: Many women in our community are single mothers and professionals who excel at work but struggle to get the same results at home. I often talk about “bringing leadership home.” Parenting is essentially onboarding children to adulthood—it’s leadership in its truest form. The best leadership, whether in business or family, is collaborative and engaging, not about control. When we apply professional leadership skills to parenting, we empower our children to thrive independently.

Q: What challenges have you faced in your entrepreneurial journey?
Elaine: The challenges evolve over time. In the early years, it was about making my vision sustainable. Later, it was shifting from thinking of myself as “just a coach” to stepping fully into the role of CEO. Imposter syndrome was real, but so was learning to trust myself as the company grew. Right now, the biggest challenge is navigating global economic uncertainty—people want support but often hesitate to invest because of perceived risk. For us, it’s about adapting, staying resilient, and continuing to meet the needs of our community in new ways.

Q: What advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
Elaine: Entrepreneurship requires risk-taking, so be honest with yourself about whether that suits your temperament. If it feels daunting, seek support—you don’t have to do it alone. Growth and change are constant in business, so be ready to adapt. And most importantly, remember you’re not alone. Whatever you’re going through, someone else has walked that path, too.

“In life and in business, remember that you’re never truly alone—community is what helps us rise, adapt, and keep moving forward.” – Elaine Taylor-Klaus
