What inspired you to start your journey, Dana? Was it a person, a moment, or a challenge?
It was definitely a challenge. I often joke—very lovingly—that my middle name should be Resilience. I’ve had a lot of life experience, and that’s really what prompted me to want to help others step into their full authenticity, to shine, and to grow meaningfully within their careers.
What kind of challenges have you faced, particularly when it comes to marketing and visibility?
At a high level, the biggest challenge has been around branding—gaining visibility and differentiation in a very crowded space. There are many providers out there, and standing out in a way that feels authentic has been an ongoing learning process.
What has been the proudest milestone in your journey so far?
Working with individuals who are able to transform, pivot within their careers, and land new opportunities that truly align with their skills and personal ambitions. Seeing that alignment happen is incredibly fulfilling.
Are you currently a solopreneur, or do you have a team supporting you?
At this point, I’m working independently.
As you’ve grown, how have your clients found you?
Most of my clients come through referrals—either from people I’ve worked with before or from connections within organizations where my professional network is strongest.
What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?
One of the biggest challenges is that many industries—technology in particular—still don’t have a deep enough pool of women with the experience required for senior leadership roles. That said, I’m encouraged to see organizations becoming more progressive by reframing qualifications, creating internal growth opportunities, and offering stretch assignments and collaboration across roles and locations.
One of the greatest strengths women bring to leadership is empathy. Historically, many women have felt the need to emulate male leadership styles instead of leaning into this strength. I believe empathy allows us to connect more deeply, understand motivation, and inspire others in a way that truly drives results.
What message would you like to share with future women leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs?
Lean into your strengths and continue to develop them. Seek cross-functional partnerships, work alongside both male and female peers, and look for mentors or coaches who can offer guidance and perspective. Don’t feel pressured to wear only one hat—we bring so much value by embracing the many roles we play. Bringing your full self to work creates a more harmonious and impactful environment.
What does success mean to you—professionally and personally?
For me, success isn’t about what we command or achieve on paper. A truly successful leader is measured by what they inspire others to accomplish—helping people flourish at their highest potential.
“Success is about the inspiration we create in others—the space we hold for them to grow, thrive, and reach their fullest potential.”
