Creating Impact Through Creativity: Pia Leichter’s Inspiring Journey of Transformation and Unconventional Coaching

Pia Leichter is a creative partner, strategist, and coach based in Denmark. With roots in both New York and Montreal, and a background shaped by a globally nomadic lifestyle, she brings a rich, multicultural perspective to her work. Pia collaborates with founders, artists, executives, and visionary thinkers who are ready to pivot, expand, or create something new. Through coaching, messaging, and creative strategy, she helps clients bring their next big idea to life while staying deeply aligned with their values.

Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your journey so far?
I’m half New Yorker, half Montrealer, and currently living in Denmark, a place I now call home after years of being a self-described “recovering nomad.” I’ve lived in numerous countries, moved around a lot as a child, and never expected Denmark to be where I’d finally plant roots.
I describe myself as a creative partner—or a creative midwife. I work with founders, executives, artists, and other creatives who find themselves at a pivot point, whether it’s expanding their current venture, exploring a new direction, or simply feeling stuck. I help them birth their next creative chapter through coaching, creative strategy, messaging, and writing.
My clients are typically unconventional dreamers and visionary rebels who want to make a meaningful impact. It’s deeply rewarding work because I get to partner with people who think differently to make a difference.

Who is your primary audience or niche?
My niche is made up of people who do things differently to create impact. I work with unconventional dreamers, inspired misfits, and visionary rebels. These are people who share a passion for making a difference in the world through their unique creations.

How do clients usually discover your work?
Currently, I focus on building long-term relationships. This happens through various avenues—my weekly newsletter invites people into my quirky, creative world. I also engage through podcasts, where I have in-depth conversations about creativity and its challenges. LinkedIn remains a significant platform for me, but I’m always exploring other ways to connect with people, including referrals from my network.

What challenges have you faced in your entrepreneurial journey, and how do you navigate them?
Entrepreneurship is often about getting comfortable with uncertainty, which can be wildly uncomfortable at times. As my business evolves, it can feel daunting to trust the process when I don’t yet see what’s unfolding.
For me, it’s about learning to build trust with life and embracing the “void” where things feel unknown but are ripe with possibility. Staying present in that space has opened up unexpected opportunities for both me and my business.
The challenge lies in balancing this trust with practical concerns—finding clients, managing resources—but it’s also a profound opportunity to grow and expand.

What are your plans and goals for 2025?
2025 is about creating a choreography between my various passions—my book, my business, and my creative projects. I aim to expand my reach through keynote events, deepen relationships, and bring my work further into the world.
I’m particularly excited about connecting face-to-face with more people, as real-life interactions feel increasingly important. I’m also working on a spoken word album based on the poems from my book. It’s about fulfilling my creative soul while continuing to help my clients bring their dreams to life.

What is your motivational message for women who are striving to make an impact?
Pia Leichter:
You’ve got this—keep going and growing. Your desires are yours for a reason, and you have the ability to create the conditions to bring them to life.
When you take a quiet moment, ask yourself: What do I truly want to create next? Trust that you have the talent, skills, and capacity to make it real. Keep creating, and remember—you’re more capable than you think.
