Clare Martin is the founder of the Wellbeing Ambassador Programme and a passionate advocate for creating workplaces where people can truly thrive. With a strong background in psychology and a mission rooted in positive transformation, she has dedicated her work to helping leaders prioritize mental, emotional, and physical well-being in their organizations. Humans of Fuzia is featuring Clare for her inspiring commitment to building healthier workplace cultures—an effort that deeply resonates with our 5M+ community striving for empowerment, balance, and meaningful change.
Q: Clare, what inspired your mission behind the Wellbeing Ambassador Programme?
A: My vision is that every organization prioritizes well-being first. When we proactively support people’s physical, emotional, and psychological well-being, we see them flourish. They become more engaged, more resilient, more fulfilled, and they stay longer in their roles. This benefits not just individuals, but organizations as well—reducing absenteeism, retaining better talent, and creating workplaces where people can show up at their best. My academic background in psychology, including a master’s in applied positive psychology, helped shape the research behind the programme.
Q: Who are the primary audiences you work with?
A: I typically work with organizations—small, medium, or even global companies. Often, leadership teams or HR departments begin the training because they’re already responsible for supporting employees but may not have the tools to do it effectively. I’ve worked across different industries: charity, education, tech, consulting, and others. Most of my work is currently based in the UK.
Q: How do you create awareness about your work in the digital space?
A: My main digital home is my website, goldcresttraining.com. I’m very active on LinkedIn, where I share well-being insights, positive psychology tools, and elements of my personal journey. I also published a book—Wellbeing Investors—available on Amazon worldwide. And this year, I launched a podcast on Spotify, which shares the audio version of my book for those who prefer to listen rather than read.
Q: Are you currently working with a team or handling everything independently?
A: At the moment, it’s just me! Running everything solo definitely requires strong time management. But I try to live the principles I teach—setting boundaries, taking breaks, and creating focus time. Something as simple as keeping my phone out of sight or closing all other tabs during work helps me stay present.
Q: What are some well-being practices that help you stay focused and grounded?
A: Phones are one of our biggest distractions, so removing them during focus time makes a big difference. I also organize my day using Google Calendar and Google Tasks—it keeps me structured and intentional. After deep work, I always try to step outside. I live close to the mountains, so walking in nature helps me reset. Dancing is also something I love; it boosts my energy and reminds me why taking breaks matters.
Q: What aspirations do you hold for 2026 and beyond?
A: My biggest dream is for the Wellbeing Ambassador Programme to become globally recognized—a certification that people can proudly put on their CV and carry across companies. We’ve already started expanding internationally, including into the UAE, where I trained two new facilitators in October. I want to keep licensing more coaches so the impact can spread worldwide.
Q: What challenges do you face as a solopreneur?
A: Marketing and sales are definitely the toughest. When you’re busy delivering work, marketing takes a backseat—and vice versa. That creates highs and lows. Bringing in licensed facilitators helps smooth this out, but self-doubt is also real. I often have to remind myself of the same well-being wisdom I share with others: take a break, step outside, rest, and come back renewed.
Q: What message would you like to share with women and entrepreneurs reading your story?
A: We all have the ability to thrive in any environment. When we make our own well-being a priority, we challenge the culture around us to rise with us. Women especially need to recognize that we deserve this—and when we lead with well-being, we create a ripple effect that inspires others.
“Believe in your ability to thrive—and let that belief challenge your environment to support you better.” — Clare Martin
