Chantelle Swaby: Creating a Wellness Pathway for Those Who Don’t Know Where to Turn

Chantelle Swaby

Chantelle Swaby is a solopreneur and the founder of The ThriveWell Hub, a wellness marketplace born from her own transformative journey. Featured on Humans of Fuzia for her courage, purpose, and commitment to emotional wellbeing, Chantelle’s story offers hope to anyone navigating personal challenges. Her mission to support individuals through holistic wellness options resonates deeply with our 5M+ global community working collectively toward empowerment, compassion, and healing.

Q: Chantelle, could you start by telling us about your work and what inspired The ThriveWell Hub?
A: I started my business in March this year, and it’s an online wellness marketplace designed to help people who are struggling emotionally and don’t know where to look for support. The wellness industry is fragmented—you search everywhere, unsure who’s credible or what’s right for you. I wanted to bring everything into one place, curated, trustworthy, and meaningful. The platform connects people to carefully selected wellness businesses offering transformative support.

Q: How is your marketplace structured? Who do you serve?
A: It’s both B2C and B2B. For customers, there’s a quiz that identifies what they’re feeling and directs them to one of our five pillars of wellness. There’s also an AI wellness companion in development that provides personalized recommendations for activities or services happening in real time. For businesses, I focus on helping them gain visibility through curated events, panels, social content, and storytelling.

Q: What tools or platforms are you using right now to build awareness?
A: We have a website (thethrivalhub.com), Instagram, LinkedIn, and a newsletter on Substack. Events—both online and offline—are a major part of the visibility strategy. We held our first offline event in September and are planning more across London, and eventually in other major UK cities.

Q: You’re currently a solopreneur. What has that experience been like?
A: It’s mostly me running things. I hire help when needed; for instance, I currently work with a digital marketer based in India. But as a founder who’s building from scratch, I’m deeply involved in every part of the vision and execution. It’s challenging, but also incredibly rewarding.

Q: Speaking of challenges, what are some obstacles you’re navigating right now?
A: The biggest one is monetization. I’m not a natural salesperson, and yet turning this into a sustainable business is essential. I’m also refining the user experience and building a solid social media strategy with my digital marketer. It’s all work in progress.

Q: Was entrepreneurship always part of your plan?
A: Not at all! If you had asked me a year ago, I would’ve said no. What changed everything was attending a Kundalini activation session earlier this year. I had a profound energetic experience—what I can only describe as a “download.” Suddenly, ideas poured in: what the business should be, how it should work, who it would serve. For weeks after, I had an unstoppable creative flow. It felt like purpose.

Q: What personal experiences shaped your passion for mental and emotional wellbeing?
A: Over the years, I saw close friends and loved ones struggle deeply. Two friends died by suicide, and my sister’s late ADHD diagnosis brought its own challenges. I often felt helpless, wishing I had something tangible to offer them. My background as a project manager helped me support them in small ways, but I always wished for a resource that could guide people toward the right help—especially alternatives beyond traditional therapy. Now, I’m building exactly what I wish had existed.

Q: What motivates you to keep going?
A: I genuinely feel blessed to do this work. I want people—women and anyone going through emotional challenges—to have a place where they can explore meaningful, local, and supportive options. It’s about self-care, community, and connection.

“Trust the path, even if you didn’t see it coming. Sometimes purpose finds you when you’re simply open enough to receive it.”
