Can you share a short summary of your background for the article?
For the past 20 years, I’ve focused on creating greater access, equity, and opportunity within organizations across industries like higher education, professional services, educational technology, and global philanthropy. These experiences culminated in launching an interdisciplinary community development agency, AuthentiCally Aligned, LLC, which designs projects and services that promote global sustainability.
My background in social science and mental health counseling has been instrumental in crafting innovative solutions, blending research frameworks with novel, place-based approaches to community transformation.
Before you ventured into the world of entrepreneurship, what were your deepest passions and most cherished interests? What captivated your imagination, ignited your curiosity, or simply brought you joy?
I’ve always derived joy and purpose from coaching individuals and organizations toward clarity and alignment with their mission and purpose. This passion for helping others uncover their potential continues to inspire my work.
How do you stay connected with your customers and gather feedback? What channels do you use to communicate with them, and how do you ensure that their voices are heard?
Gathering feedback is a gift, and I treat it with care. I’ve co-developed a benchmarking process that combines a scalable survey model with focused interviews to ensure that our offerings align with customer needs and market trends.
Looking back on your journey, what moments or milestones stand out as the most significant achievements in your career?
I’ve had the privilege of developing groundbreaking products and services in the “white space” of multiple organizations. Key achievements include:
- Bringing new products to market in higher education.
- Developing signature leadership experiences.
- Architecting the first DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) strategy for an organization.
These opportunities to create solutions where none previously existed have been some of the most rewarding milestones of my career.
