Brian Scott Gross is the founder of BSG Public Relations, a boutique PR agency in the U.S. specializing in entertainment and media. With a career that began in the halls of record labels and evolved into more than two decades of entrepreneurship, Brian has built a legacy rooted in storytelling, creativity, and unwavering passion for the industry.
Humans of Fuzia is proud to feature Brian because his journey shows the power of determination and risk-taking—qualities that inspire our 5-million-strong community of women and allies working together for empowerment. His story reflects why He for She matters: when men champion leadership, ambition, and equality, they help shape a more inclusive future for all.
Q: Brian, what inspired you to enter the world of public relations?
Brian: I actually began my career my senior year of high school as an intern in the PR department of a record label. That was when I realized PR and media were going to be my passion.
From there, I worked my way up in the entertainment industry, moved across companies, and eventually started my own PR firm in 2001. That journey helped me understand every layer of the field.
Q: Tell us about BSG Public Relations. What do you focus on?
Brian: BSG is a full-service, boutique public relations firm here in the United States. My team and I work across all facets of entertainment.
We set up media campaigns for people, companies, and events, and support clients in reaching their branding and PR goals. Every client is different, and our work is built around helping them communicate their story effectively.
Q: Looking back to when you started your company, what was the biggest challenge?
Brian: The biggest challenge—then and now—is the constant change in media. The industry never stays still.
You have to be creative, persistent, and always ready to adapt your approach so your clients get the attention they need. Achieving their goals is always the daily challenge and the priority.
Q: You’ve seen the evolution of technology firsthand. What are your thoughts on AI in your industry?
Brian: We incorporate AI wherever possible. It speeds up our work—whether it’s gathering information or putting materials together.
Like any technology, there are pros and cons, but you adjust to it. I’m not worried about robots taking over the world anytime soon. For now, AI helps us, and I view it as a positive tool that makes daily tasks easier.
Q: What do you enjoy most about being a founder?
Brian: The freedom.
I decide how many clients I want, who I want to work with, and what kind of life I want to build around my career. I answer to my clients, of course, but ultimately, I get to shape my own path—and that freedom is invaluable.
Q: What are your thoughts on women empowerment, especially in entrepreneurship?
Brian: Most of the people I’ve reported to in my career were women. Most of my clientele are women.
I’ve always seen strong, powerful, incredibly talented women leading in PR and media. They’re smart, proactive, and exceptional at what they do.
For me, women empowerment isn’t just an idea—I’ve lived it throughout my career.
Q: What message would you like to share with our global audience?
Brian: Be fearless.
Take chances, take risks, and don’t be afraid to fail. I’ve failed many times throughout my career, and every failure teaches you something. If you overthink everything, you’ll never accomplish anything.
Q: As 2025 comes to an end, how has this year been for you?
Brian: It’s been an amazing year—full of travel, experiences, people, clients, and work. I’m grateful for everything this year brought.
Q: Any accomplishments or highlights you’d like to share?
Brian: Travel is very important to me. Every year I visit new places. This year I went to Dubai, France, Prague, spent time in London, and returned to Italy.
Meeting people, seeing the world, and reconnecting with old friends—those moments matter the most to me. One day I’ll make it to India too.
“In life and in business, be fearless—take the risk, embrace the failures, and keep moving forward.”
