Q: How would you describe yourself to readers?
Brad: I would describe myself as someone who seeks to do and be better as much as I possibly can. I recognize my flaws, my limitations, and my self-limiting beliefs, and I work with them. I try to operate from my healing rather than my wounds so I can show up as the best version of myself at any given time.

Q: Tell us about your venture. What does your coaching and consulting work involve?
Brad: My coaching practice focuses on three main areas: helping people become human-centered leaders, supporting those who have experienced trauma to build resilience, and guiding people who want to transform themselves and their lives. On the consulting side, I primarily work with nonprofit organizations on governance, strategy, and program management.

Q: Who are the people you work with most closely?
Brad: For leadership coaching, I work with both new and seasoned leaders who want to lead with humanity instead of just chasing profitability. With trauma recovery, I focus especially on people who have experienced spiritual or religious trauma, helping them turn their healing into action. And with transformation coaching, I often work with people who are navigating major life changes like divorce, job loss, or the death of a spouse. My goal is to help them honor their past while building the best version of their future.

Q: How do people usually find you?
Brad: Most of my clients come through referrals—friends, colleagues, or former clients recommending my work. I also gain some visibility through my blog on my website and on Medium. I don’t advertise much, but word-of-mouth has been powerful.

Q: What has been your biggest challenge as a solopreneur?
Brad: Social media. I’ve never been a big user, and figuring out how to show up authentically online can be overwhelming for me. As a solopreneur, it’s also an ongoing challenge to decide how I want to represent myself publicly and balance my personal and professional persona.

Q: What are your current goals?
Brad: I’m working on finishing my book, which is a big focus right now. I’m also putting effort into building my online presence so I can reach more people and expand the impact of my work.

Q: Finally, what message would you like to share with women professionals, entrepreneurs, and changemakers?
Brad: It’s never too late to own your story. Many people think they’re too old to change or too late to address their past. That’s not true. The best day to start was yesterday, but the next best day is today.

“It’s never too late to own your story. Healing, growth, and transformation can begin any day you choose.” – Brad Ward
