Baz Porter: From Homelessness to Helping Women Claim Their Power

Baz Porter

Baz Porter’s journey is a powerful reminder that transformation is possible no matter where you begin. Once homeless and battling addiction, Baz rebuilt his life from the ground up—turning just $7 into a seven-figure personal development business within 14 months. Today, he guides high-achieving women through identity shifts, personal breakthroughs, and bold transitions into entrepreneurship. Humans of Fuzia features Baz for his resilience, authenticity, and deep commitment to empowering women to remember their worth and step into their true potential—aligning with our global community’s mission of growth, equality, and shared strength.

Q: Baz, can you tell us about your journey and how it all began?
I started in 2019, but before that, my life looked very different. I was homeless, an alcoholic, and a drug addict for many years. I didn’t plan to become an entrepreneur—it happened by accident. I was traveling the world on donations, moving through 33 states in the U.S., then Australia, and eventually came back to the U.S. with just $7 and a rucksack. Fourteen months later, I had built a seven-figure personal development business. Everything I teach now comes from having lived it.

Q: What kind of work do you do today, and who do you primarily serve?
I work mainly with high-level women—those doing high six figures, seven figures, or transitioning out of corporate roles into entrepreneurship. Many are navigating identity challenges, personal struggles like divorce or major life shifts, and the balance between motherhood and ambition. My role isn’t just coaching—I guide them because I’ve walked that path myself.

Q: You created something called the RAMS framework. What is that about?
RAMS stands for Results, Attitude & Authenticity, Mastery, and Systems. I created it because I noticed people had worked with many coaches but still lacked clarity and consistency in results. Instead of vague motivation, I reverse-engineer everything from a very specific result the client wants.
I don’t believe in the word “mindset”—I believe in mind states. It’s about becoming the person who already lives the result. Authenticity ensures alignment with values, mastery keeps progress measurable, and systems provide the structure to sustain growth.

Q: What advice would you give to entrepreneurs who are just starting out?
If you can think it, you can create it—but first, you must believe it. Everyone has a message and a talent. The biggest thing stopping people is their own belief in themselves. Remove fear and step into the unknown, because that’s where miracles happen. People forget that they are the miracle.

Q: What’s one practical step people can take to gain clarity in their journey?
Sit down and design a “day in your life” of what you truly want. From the moment you wake up to when you go to sleep—what are you doing, feeling, experiencing, and who are you impacting? Remove all limitations—financial, relational, geographical. That exercise alone brings surprising clarity and direction.

Q: Is there anything new or exciting you’re working on?
I’m launching something called A Million Dreams, a community built around sovereignty and safety—especially for high-achieving women who want clarity, support, and real networks that help elevate their lives and businesses without judgment.

“You are not waiting for a miracle—you already are the miracle. Don’t forget that.”
