Authentic Leadership, Women Empowerment and Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Karmin Jenkins on Building Growth Systems That Honour Individual Purpose | Humans of Fuzia

Karmin Jenkins

What if the biggest obstacle to business growth isn’t the market, competition, or lack of opportunity—but trying to build a business using someone else’s blueprint?

For Karmin Jenkins, entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, licensed clinical social worker, and women’s coach, sustainable growth begins with self-awareness, authenticity, and the courage to define success on your own terms.

Featured by Humans of Fuzia (HOF), a global thought-leadership platform exploring leadership, entrepreneurship, coaching, women empowerment, and socially conscious business, Jenkins shares a powerful perspective on building a purpose-driven coaching business. HOF brings forward real experiences from coaches and entrepreneurs navigating the realities of business growth, leadership, and scaling.

From Personal Transformation to Purpose-Driven Leadership

Jenkins’ entrepreneurial journey began with a deeply personal mission: healing herself from the inside out.

After recognising the impact of earlier life experiences on her emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being, she began making intentional lifestyle changes to become a better mother, wife, and support system for other women.

As a licensed clinical social worker, she eventually transitioned into coaching, using therapeutic principles and practical tools to help women navigate life’s challenges without providing clinical therapy.

Her philosophy is rooted in authenticity: helping women build lives that genuinely reflect who they are.

Why Copying Other Entrepreneurs Can Limit Business Growth

Like many solopreneurs, Jenkins initially struggled with business development and sales. Without previous business ownership experience, she followed strategies that had worked for others.

But two to three years into her journey, she recognised an important distinction: “What works for other people is not necessarily going to work for me.”

She began seeking mentors within her own niche and aligning her business decisions with her actual goals.

Her approach to setbacks is equally practical: “Celebrate the peaks, assess the valleys, and to not repeat the things that are not going to be productive and successful.”

This is particularly relevant in 2026, when entrepreneurs face growing pressure around client acquisition, messaging clarity, team accountability, and scalable business systems.

Rather than chasing every trend, sustainable leadership requires understanding your Ideal Client Profile (ICP), refining your messaging, building relevant sales funnels, and choosing speaking and authority-building opportunities that connect with the right audience.

Women Empowerment Through Authentic Coaching and Sustainable Growth

Jenkins primarily supports women over 30, military women veterans transitioning into civilian life, and mothers with adult daughters. These communities reflect experiences she has personally navigated.

Her business is also evolving through client feedback. Her workbook, The Master Plan for Authentic, Abundant Living, emerged from conversations within her women’s Facebook community.

She is developing a complementary book and journal while preparing a financial education Lunch & Learn called Finesse Your Finances, designed to make financial conversations approachable and actionable.

Her guiding principle remains clear: authenticity matters more than appearances.

“The one thing that I would want to be said about me is that she was authentic.”

Execution Tip

Identify one business strategy you are following simply because it worked for someone else. Evaluate whether it aligns with your audience, strengths, and business goals. Adapt it or replace it with an approach that genuinely fits your business.

The Future of Honest Entrepreneurship
