Audrey Seymour’s journey is one of alignment, resilience, and transformation. From her early fascination with the stars to a successful career in software management, and ultimately to becoming a highly respected coach, her story reflects the beauty of following one’s heart. Today, through her work at Clear Change Group and the True Purpose Institute, Audrey empowers individuals and organizations to uncover their higher calling, helping them find meaning and flow in both life and work. Her story is a reminder that even life’s challenges hold hidden gifts, and it’s these lessons that make her an inspiration to our 5M+ strong Humans of Fuzia community.
Q: What inspired your journey into coaching?
Audrey: My first love was astronomy—I was fascinated by stars and galaxies even before I could read. Later, I shifted to math and built a career in software development management. But repetitive stress injuries forced me to rethink my path. Luckily, a friend invited me to manage his training company, where I was introduced to coaching. I fell in love with it, transitioned smoothly, and started my own coaching business. It was one of the most fortunate turns in my life.
Q: What challenges did you face in establishing yourself as a coach?
Audrey: I was fortunate to have a head start—my former employer let me use his newsletter to promote my coaching practice. That helped me gain traction early on. The real challenges were personal: I dealt with a severe knee injury that took years to heal, and I went through more than one divorce. Over time, I realized those hardships were gifts in disguise. They taught me that every challenge carries a lesson, and often a greater purpose.
Q: Tell us about your work and the community you’ve built.
Audrey: My company, Clear Change Group, thrives on collaboration. We work in the field of purpose—life, career, and organizational purpose—referring clients to each other and often working together. Another milestone was co-founding the True Purpose Institute with Tim Kelly and others. There, we train coaches to help people connect with their inner wisdom—whether they see it as intuition, soul, higher self, or divine guidance—and discover their higher purpose. It’s truly magical work.
Q: What are some of your proudest milestones?
Audrey: One was earning the highest coaching credential from the International Coach Federation after 10 years in the field. Another was co-founding the True Purpose Institute and creating transformational programs like the True Purpose Coach Training. These milestones represent not just personal growth, but the ripple effect of empowering others to live aligned with their purpose.
Q: What are your thoughts on women in leadership today?
Audrey: I’ve always believed women bring something unique to leadership—especially relational skills. When I was in software, I rose to management quickly because I knew how to work with people, not just technical processes. Many women naturally understand the human side of leadership, helping teams align and succeed together. That’s a powerful strength we should continue to celebrate.
Q: What message would you share with aspiring women leaders and entrepreneurs?
Audrey: Follow your heart and soul—when you do, everything flows. Don’t just do what others expect; listen to your inner wisdom. And when challenges come, don’t fear them. Ask yourself, Where’s the gift in this? That mindset has been one of the most important lessons of my life.
Q: What is your definition of success?
Audrey: Success has both outer and inner measures. Outwardly, it’s about meeting the goals you set, even if they shift over time. But inner success is about meaning—it’s when your work lights you up, puts you in flow, and feels timeless. True success is when your outer achievements align with your inner purpose.
