Ana Polanco: Helping Leaders Embrace Cultural Change and Rediscover Their Authentic Voice

Ana Polanco

With roots in human rights and immigration work, Ana Polanco spent over 15 years fighting for justice before realizing her true calling was in guiding others to find theirs. For the past 13 years, she has built a thriving coaching and consulting practice that empowers leaders to challenge rigid systems, embrace authenticity, and create workplaces rooted in values and belonging. Her work is especially impactful for people of the global majority, offering them the tools to disrupt cultural patterns that no longer serve them. Ana’s story is one of courage, transformation, and a deep commitment to healing polarization in society—making her a voice of inspiration for our Fuzia community of 5M+ change-makers.

Q: Ana, what inspired you to leave your career in human rights and start your journey as an entrepreneur?
I loved the work I was doing, but I felt something was missing. Even though I was effective in running rights campaigns, I wasn’t connected to my core skills and values. A friend invited me to explore coaching, and from the very first class, it felt like a whole new world had opened up inside me. Since then, I’ve grown my coaching and consulting practice to support leaders across public, private, and nonprofit sectors in creating meaningful cultural change.

Q: Do you work solo, or do you have a team supporting you?
I have a team of subcontractors who support different parts of the work, especially with our Wild Dreams Coaching Program. It’s designed for people of the global majority who are seeking to step into their purpose by examining cultural patterns that may no longer serve them, while also reconnecting with ideas and wisdom that already live inside them.

Q: Who are the people you primarily work with, and where are they based?
Most of my clients are in the United States, since I grew up and built much of my network here. But I also work with individuals from Europe, Mexico, and Colombia, each bringing diverse cultural perspectives into the work.

Q: Client acquisition is often a challenge. How do you approach it?
For me, it starts with relationships. My background in politics and organizing gave me strong connections, and many of my clients come through word of mouth. I also place a lot of importance on evolving my practice—studying areas like family and systems constellations, decolonizing management systems, and somatics—to ensure I’m offering tools that meet people where they are, especially in a time of such high stress and change.

Q: What upcoming projects are you excited about?
We’ve revamped the Wild Dreams Coaching Program, a 10-week journey launching at the end of August, designed to help people reconnect with their dreams, redefine power from ancestral roots, and build an actionable plan forward. We also recently received funding to launch monthly Family and Systems Constellations sessions. These are designed to help people uncover unconscious patterns, reframe belonging, and disrupt cycles that no longer serve them.

Q: What are your short-term goals for your business?
This year, a big goal was revamping the Wild Dreams program, and we’re thrilled to launch it soon. The new constellation series is another short-term priority. Together, these projects will deepen our ability to help people heal, belong, and thrive in community.

“At the core of my work is giving people the tools to disrupt polarization and rediscover connection—with themselves, with others, and with their collective histories.” – Ana Polanco
